Yes the tip is broken off. I was prying an abalone from a rock diving Catalina in the Mid 80's.
Mr. Marsh. I was informed that you may be the man with info on a knife I have. In the early 80’s I purchased a solid stainless knife from a dive shop in Bellflower ca. It was inscribed on the handle, SEA WOLF KNIFE CO. USA. I used that knife many times diving of the coast locally and at the islands. Snapped the tip off prying abalone of a rock.
I picked the NKCA knives for 2011 thru 2013. will get back with you.
