If there were just 1 "Grail Knife" that you could get for Christmas this year (price is no object), what would it be?

For me it would be the 1999 Bose collaboration Case Slimline Trapper with Wharncliffe secondary.

Now your turn....Who knows, Santa may be making a list and checking it twice...

Sounds like some great dreams being had over here.

Guys,

Keep the mind open and you never know!  I have seen grail dreams come true and will be sharing a story soon!

Grail knife.... So many options out there. For me? Benchmade 940-1 Osborne

Realistically, of the knives on my gift list, I'm hoping I'll be receiving either the Kershaw Camp 10 or the Kershaw Link with blue aluminum scales.  Not grail knives in the larger sense of the term -- but I'll be uying that Camp 10 if I don't receive it as a gift.  Then it will get its first use processing our Christmas tree for the fire pit.  This will be January in Minnesota, so it should be a decent test for the knife.  And from what I have read, the Camp 10 should be able to handle work in the frigid winter air.  I plan to use this knife, & I want to test it at home before relying on it far away from home.

(The Camp 10 will hopefully perform the role I intended for the now discontinued Kershaw Outcast; the Outcast was an incredible knife, but mine had one problem difficult to overcome on a D2 blade -- a primary bevel that was insufficiently acute.  While clearly meant to be a knife that could also substitute for an axe, the Outcast didn't perform the knife role nearly well enough.  Maybe this was why the Outcast was discontinued.)

Well I told ya'll to keep on looking and wishing for that grail knife.  Santa not only listens apparently he reads iKC LOL!  A mail call surprise, totally out of the blue came home last week.  I was speechless and brought to tears at the generosity.  An Alan Davis custom now hangs out with my other customs

The friendships made here at iKC have been a Blessing to me in more ways than I can count.  The surprises keep coming and the adventure continues.  Let me know what you get for Christmas!

Ah,Jan. That's sweet. Very nice !!!!!!!   I WANT IT!!!!!!!!

Congrats Jan. That Santa is one heck of a great guy.

It's a Christmas Miracle!!!

Congrats Jan!  "Yes Virginia there really is a Santa Claus"

I guess I am an oddball!  I am sitting here trying to think of one particular knife that would be a grail knife for me but there simply isn't one.  There is no one knife that appeals to me over many others.  When I see something in one of the three brands I collect or one of the two patterns or the one theme that appeals to me, I buy it.  That is why I like getting the SMKW and Shepherd Hills catalogs.  I often see something in them that just sort of reaches out and grabs me.  And if my bank account doesn't object, I will buy it.  I will also often scan eBay to see if there is something there that particularly appeals to me.

LOL Andy !  That is the same thing Donnie said
