Ron WOW! Just WOW!  Thanks so much for the additional info on the MOP Barlow & particularly the Video I especially enjoyed the last segment with the footage of the craftsman assembling the knife, I picked up a few tips from it. The most amazing thing is the way he 'thumped' away with the peening hammer. If you or I tried that, the bolsters and scales would be marred beyond saving. I also spied the price in that dealer link ... I don't think I will be getting one anytime soon. But I might hunt around for a standard model from TEW  I have a new Joseph Rogers Barlow and a few vintage sheffield knives but not a TEW... Thanks again.

Ron, checked out your Flickr Photos - some real beauties! Looks like you really enjoy your photography. One pic caught my eye a Taylor's Eye Witness Clip Bladed Knife with pearl (?) scales ... What model is it ... more info please. Hard to Gauge the size but it looks very similar in design to the Tony Bose Lanny's Clip ... beaut looking piece of blade wear.

$55 every month Ron , good heavens you have been living high on the hog !

I was in Los Angeles once , I think , at the airport waiting for a transfer flight to New Zealand in 2001 so I can't say I know a lot about the place . The thought of paying money to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane defies logic to me , I get a nose bleed any higher than six steps up a ladder .

Hahahaha.  Thanks, Ron.  Gettin tougher to get out in the woods to test out all these camp knives.  I'll deny it if asked, but think I'll be takin up bird watching as a way to get out, but not too far.

Ron,

I only wish that I could get in touch with someone that knows hoe Imperial and Curtis got together. I've tried to contact both companies to no avail. However I will keep trying.

Thank you Ron for you kind words. Don't beat your self up on not knowing about the key knives. Most of the people that I talk to or show them to are amazed that there are such things. I go to a lot of cruises with my car cause I like to drive it. When I open the trunk and show off the box of knives I gather a crowd. My car is not a Show Car, but the knives are certainly a Show Stopper.

Speaking of the Chevy engine. Three things that prompted me to buy the pile of junk that was my car. 1 The under carrarige was solid 2. It had an PA antique plate on it 3. It had a 235 cid engine {best one chevy ever made) with a power glide  tranny.  Took me 5 years to finish it but it was fun. I learned a lot of new swear words and a lot of new combinations of them doing it. My wife used to say "I didn't know you could those words together in one blurb and have it mean something".
And finally, my first car was a 1940 Ford. That flat head could move. I bought it when I was 13 and sold it to finance my honeymoon 10 years later. Now 58 years later I have no regrets,
Pete

Hey Mr. all things SAK....I have this knock-off. Can you tell me the brand?

My actual version of this photo is actually the darker red variation, almost maroon in color.

Thanks!
