CFK White Bone Skinner

This is my 2020 CFK Custom Skinning knife. As a blade style, trailing point blades are not necessarily my favorite, unless they possess those sleek curvy Persian lines as this one does - subtle as they may be!

Here is one of my new knives.

When I happened upon it, I was simply drawn to its design and materials.  I just had to chase it, was very fortunate and was able to get it.  The format that Lars has started in this thread will be attempted to followed.

Specifications:

Tang: Full
Overall length: 9 3/4"

Part of the concession that I made in order to get the previous knife, was that I had to get one for my wife.

While her style is a little different than mine, this is still a fine looking blade.

Overall length: 12 1/8"
Weight: 13 oz
Rockwell: Hardened to 58-60 HRC

There you go - Now that is a smart looking blade my friend. Love those finger contours too...

And that's a great photo...you should start lobbying Jan now for a spot in the 2022 iKC calendar...who knows, you just might get the center fold!  :-D

So spill the beans...is this going to be a show piece or see active use?

LOL!  Jade's (my wife) knife has already seen use in the kitchen chopping up dinner last night!

Mine probably wont see a ton of use, but I will certainly be using it to skin and process a deer later this year should I get one.

With very few exceptions, all of my knives are in line to be used at some point.

Well, as I have said many times - the food always tastes better when you use one of your knives from your collection. Jade must know that intuitively. I bet dinner was fabulous last night! :-)

Hers has that nice Seax line to it - and it looks comfortable to use. Well done Jade!

Oh oh....  This stuff is contagious.

Reminds me of a line from Robert W. Service's "Spell of the Yukon"

"It grips you like some sort of sinning.

It twists you from foe to a friend."
