The description provided to the USPTO for ROUGH RIDER is Cutlery, namely pocket, hunting and collector's knives.

It does show SMKW as principle.  I do not see any trade mark mention of Rough Ryder Knives?

According to the Rough Ryder Facebook page, that was the original spelling of the name, though I've never seen it, and I took the "Rough Rider Challenge" a long time ago.

They've got a video out talking about hand built too... IDK about that.

Total makeover?

Marketing ploy?

Simple rebranding?

Perhaps someone with some inside information could shed some light.
