Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

My learned wife lambasts me for this, but amid much wailing and gnashing of teeth my buddies earnestly entreat me to add a small kitchen sink ... now that would be cool !!

First we see the typical day's equipment for the humble key ring. You will note that items are arrayed in sub-modules on 1in diameter split rings, and are then attached to the red carabiner. Each module can be detached for use if required. Immediately, easily and without disturbing the other items. The red GEAR carabiner is attached to the black SUSPENSION carabiner from which the key ring is hung. Thus you NEVER spill your stuff while attaching it. This is a critical point of this gear carry system. First the typical keyring:

Second is the three most essential rings:
Knife+Light+Compass
The indispensible Opinel #2
Keys (yeah ... the actual keyring)

Third comes the tool set:
A cheapo Chinese multi-tool (mainly for pliers)
A venerable, large Wegner SAK
A USAF Magnesium + Firestick
My Vietnam era P-38 Can Opener (that's three of them ... chow is king):

Fourth comes the essential stuff for measuring, marking and reading the fine print. How many times have you needed a little tape measure, or a good marker, or a magnifying glass? I have mine:

Fifth we live in an internet world, don't we? I carry more software than half the countries on Earth, and a free 80 Gigabytes to make a copy of all your, and your, and your stuff. Then I have my medications. Don't laugh at old people — you'll need more luck than you have now to make it. Then I have a big capsule of secret stuff. Maybe enough "L-Pills" for everyone in the room, or maybe Altoids:

Sixth but not actually last I have two items essential to any gentleman's wardrobe. An extra pistol and a little anvil. Go figure:

Thanks, amigos! It has been pointed out, to my embarasment, that I have neither hammer nor tongs nor torch. I can only scrub my toes and say the little pliers might suffice for tongs. I'm off to the hardware store, right after the alterations shop sews a reinforced bottom in my pocket...
Where can i get a bill holder like that? no realy i want one.
you could use your edc key chain as a self defence weapon...lol all you have to do it throw it at them, they will ether get knocked out or they'll get in tangled in it... HaHaHa
The anvil is Andy's secret babe magnet. ;)
That's very powerful knowledge for a young man — use it wisely.
Hey Andy do the ladies say to you " Is that an anvil in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me " lol ;D
Good lord...and I thought my keychain was bulky. Well you got me beat but, for what it's worth, here's what I carry on my keychain everyday:

My entire set of keys and stuff

kubotan, modified BIC pen (stole this idea from some guy at CountyComm.com), and mini Sharpie

Byrd Starling knife and scissors (folded up)

scissors open

LMF Mini, split pea lighter, and County Comm LED

I keep half of a cotton ball stowed away under the cap of the split pea lighter...should stay nice and dry, should I ever need it.

I keep a few of my items attached to S-biners for easy detachment (kubotan, pen, knife, and keys). Since I don't want all this weight taxing my car's ignition, this allows me to just use my keys (w/ nothing attached to them) when I drive

Love the anvil Andy!!!
You got me, Jason. I need more stuff for sure!
I tell them the little one is the anvil.
Matt, the Man! now I know there are others out there who know the magic of a 5 pound keychain!!
Got mine at the big orange box home store.
J.J.-WOW!-this is the first GOOD photo I have seen of the rough rider blades up close I have been hearing so much about...-looks great how are they as users?...where is a good place to order them?
