Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

What do you have on you right now? Let me see your EDC blade.

Do you ever answer the question of "Do you have a knife on ya?" with "I got pants on don't I."

I would love to see what everyone has in their pocket right now.  No cheating.  Post your every day carry knife and lets see what we all enjoy having on our person.

I have my yellow bone handled congress
This frienly fellow. An A.G. Russell large sowbelly trapper with Cocobolo scales. I'm loving this guy. I've been carrying it almost every day that I've owned it so far.
Ok so first off that is a beautiful knife, I have been passively collecting for a while but it wasn't until recently that I actually started looking into other brands than a few I have always liked to carry.  I have never seen this and now I really want one.  I like both the blades it provides and the size of it.  Only drawback for me would be the lack of a pocket clip but that knife is so nice I might pick one up for a try.
I love that knife !! I can see I am going to have to take some pictures.

Hey Kit, I'm not really much on pocket clips so it doesn't bother me. But it is an awesome knife. The cocobolo scales are beautifull and it has a nice shield as well. (other side of the knife)

If you're on the fence check out the review I did on:  http://knifereviews.org/index.php/home/folding-knives/ag-russell/20...

The only thing that would keep me from that knife is the fact that it doesn't have a pocket clip... I already have all my pockets filled with keys, cellphone, and other crap that I like that my knife stays in place. I know with a lanyard (which I see you have fitted) it is easier to get out of the pocket, but that isn't the part that really bothers me. Its the part of having something else swimming around at the bottom of my pocket. However I am definitely going to purchase this knife when I get the chance. Even if it doesn't come along with me everyday it looks like an enjoyable knife.
You might want to look into buying the accompaning sheath? Bytheway, the lanyard comes standard with it.

Jan,

Yep, I know it's not a whittler, but I wanted something a but different, to carry a bit.  Whoever was in charge of sharpening blades, that day, did a great job on this one.  We've all had knives that were not sharpened well enough, but this one is great.  Shaving sharp straight from Bradford.  The pattern is unusual, and not one that I would normally collect, but it makes a good carry knife.

Perhaps Pennsylvania will supply a new whittler.  There's a hardware store, in NC, on the way...

JJ,

Let us know how that new one is working out for you

JJ,

We all step away from the whittler every once in a while.  Its hard to do but a good knife that feels right in your hand and comes out of the box that sharp is meant to be carried and enjoyed.  I'll let you know if I find any in PA, I love antique and "junk" stores on the little back roads!!

I love the handle on that knife and the sheath is so well done.  I really like the inlays in the leather.
That is one good looking beater James LOL.  It is a great size also. Just big enough to fit well in the hand and big enough to fit most everyday needs.

Crappy picture from my phone.

Today I'm carrying my 2010 Texas Ranger from A.G. Russell and my Suchat Jangtanong custom. Beauty, and the beast they are.
