stainless steel.  This Limited Edition was limited to

    Nice blade Gary

Here are some o my new Buck models.

  • johnny twoshoes

Great knives guys, I really like that custom. : )

Patrik, I have one of those selects, but it's just the cheap one from walmart.

  • Patrik Ilijev

Hi Johnny. Cheap ? you have the Avid version that is a nice knife with a decent steel a god handle scales with a price tag from 39-55 USD it is not a price point that have  some customs but in my option  the Vantage Select are cheap I bought my for 16 USD + shipping. Overall all are nice and useful EDC options.
  • johnny twoshoes

I agree, it is a very useful knife.

I think that the price was cheap for the knife I received, it's a great worker.

  • johnny twoshoes

I just ordered a Buck 501 Squire, any thoughts?
  • johnny twoshoes

Okay, so I got my squire on Monday, I've enjoyed it very much since it's arrival. It has control of the pocket as of right now, but I do let others tag along. I'm hoping to settle down a bit in buying, so this knife is going to help me.

Buck Knives is having a 40% off sale on most models in their hunting knives line. Enter code TROPHY40 at checkout. Sale ends October 7.
  • Leon Bingo

I usually have two Bucks on me at any given time, pardon the pun! Buck makes some of the best knives around! The ones I have are usually very sharp right out of the package! I recently acquired a Buck Vantage with the Paperstone handle, I also have a Buck Odyssey with a maroon colored handle and no serrations which I prefer! I have several other Buck knives including their Omnihunter 12 pt folder and a Buck Special 119. Would like to find one of their older 120 series Bowie knives at a reasonable price, though I understand they would cost more now since they are discontinued and are now collectibles.
  • Billy Oneale

I don't think i have posted any pics of my Buck's here yet. Here is one that i really liked. It is the Father & Son 112 in the green paperstone.
  • Patrik Ilijev

I just love my Buck Vantage select such a awsome value for the money. Decent steel razor sharp and no problem with maintenance.

  • johnny twoshoes

    Patrik, thats awesome!!

Buck really did a good job on these knives, I have the Walmart version which is just a cheaper steel, but it has the laminate wood scales on it.

I also have a Vantage that was Chuck Buck's own EDC. It's a pretty awesome knife to have, especially knowing who used it.

  • Patrik Ilijev

Yes I can just agree with you Johnny at entry level select model you have everything what you need from an EDC a decent steel perfect pocket clip and nice handle material it is medium traction and the best thing is it does not rip your pocket. I also have the Avid and also a small select with paperstone handles. Looking forward to buy a Vantage Force model.

My both select model I have have a centering issue they prefer one side of the liner the Avid had better centering.  I think it was because it was a 2009 release I know that the current line has better quality control and they have less centering issues.

  • Billy Oneale

Here is a neat little Buck that I forgot that I Had. It is the Summit

  • Patrik Ilijev

    Nice one Billy.

  • Billy Oneale

Here is a camo buck that I always forget about.

  • johnny twoshoes

I just got a new one the other day. New to me anyhow.

  • KENT GABLE

Nice Buck, Johnny. What kind or number is it? I take it, it is not a lock back?

A man just can't have too many knives-Buck or otherwise.

  • KnifeMaker

    Glenn "Oz" Osborne

Just picked up another Buck... Buck 118 pre-86'. I have to get me a SD card reader this weekend so i can post the pic's of the last 3 Bucks.

  • johnny twoshoes

Sorry Kent, I just saw your post.

It is a Buck 704 and it has no locking mechanism.

  • Patrik Ilijev

I everyone I did get one of the new version Vantage select folder used but I managed to put on a scary sharp edge and repaired the centering of the blade . The paper-stone as a scales material is really nice. I do want to try out the new Vantage Force models but they are expensive at this point but they look promising.

  • Patrik Ilijev

    Nice pair Pat.
  • johnny twoshoes

Pat, my brother has one of those Buck NightHawks and he loves it. He also has a 119. It's the classic and the tactical, great knives.

  • Billy Oneale

    Nice pair, Pat.
  • Sunil Ram

Nice couple of Bucks there Pat. I own a 119 also. Great knife.

  • Billy Oneale

Iv'e been using this 4 1/2" Buck Bantam for my EDC lately. It came with a smaller 2 7/8" Bantam for under $18.00.  Iv'e had to touch up the blade a few times, but it has held it's edge really well.

    You Only Need one Buck

  • MJ Wallace

James, Great photo of your 110.  At first I thought you had a chip in the blade...when I enlarged the photo I saw that you had cut a little into the sheath, not a chip after all.  "You Only Need one Buck" you may be right but I've got a few more than one!!  Mike

  • Sunil Ram

Nice photo James. You're right; the 110 Folding Hunter is the ONE to own if you only get one or are just starting out. I have several of them now. This year I got the Chuck Buck Signature Series 110.

  • Sunil Ram

I would like to remind you all to check your knives and your collections for maintenance. You might discover rust or discolorations or just stiff joints or something. So get out your polish and lubes and give those knives a good cleaning and checkup.

  • James Cole

I bought my 110 in 1969 or 70.  It bit me in the leg one time when I was practicing one hand opens and closes.

    Jim

  • Jan Carter

    Thorvan,

Those buttons are way too cool, where did you find those?

    Sunil,

Great advise, it is always good to keep up the maintenance

  • Thorvan Patten JR.

I bought these on e-bay. I think I paid about $10.00. I really like these, there like little pins you would push into your display.

  • Sunil Ram

Smoky Mountain Knife Works is having a 10% Off discount on all Buck Knives. Coupon Code: BU10. Also $7.99 standard flat rate shipping.

  • David Megnin

    I've been a fan of Buck knives all my life I guess.  I've collected a few, 10 or 12 300 series slipjoints.  I like the little 305s but I've got a couple 303s, 301s and 309s, too.

I've still got a 110 and a 112 that I carried in the Navy twenty or thirty years ago.

  • Jan Carter

I asked a friend what was in his pocket last week and it was the cutest little Buck I ever saw.  Couldn't resist taking some pics and thinking one of these would be nice in a ladies pocket :)

  • Billy Oneale

    Nice!
  • Jan Carter

sure is Billy I am watching a couple on ebay.  It really does strike me as a nice knife a lady can carry, pull out in public and not freak everyone out

  • Gary Nelson

Some new Bucks, 3 Buck Vantage and a Punk.  The Vantage are great for EDC and the Punk is made to last.  The sheath for the Punk is very adaptable.

  • Jan Carter

Good Morning Buck group!  Can I ask for a bit of help?  We have a new member asking a Buck question and some of you may know the answers off the top of your head.  Would you be so kind as to look at it for me?

Thank you, any assistance is appreciated.
