Daniels Family Knife Brands

The Daniels family have been involved in knives for five generations, from trading, selling, manufacturing, and now distribution.

This new chapter has begun for Ryan and Courtney Daniels.  "Daniels Family Knife Brands" is offering the exiting new Excelsior Knife Company line of knives directly crafted by the knife makers that also design them. They also are continuing the very popular Tuna Valley Cutlery Co. knife brand, marketed towards the contemporary collector.

Thanks to everyone for all their support over the years, and we hope to talk with you in person at one of the many knife shows we attend throughout the year! We have many projects on the horizon, and hope you check here often to see what is coming next.

This is very exciting news. I am so happy to see the Daniels family staying involved in the knife community. I wish Ryan and Courtney the best and will certainly support them in anyway I can.

  • Carl Bradshaw

I'm sure they will be making posts here occasionally. And they've asked me to help admin this group for them as well. Kind of a dream job, go from being a fan and collector of Tuna Valley to being part of the team now. :)

Carl has a strong background to administer this site.  I include a link to a reference piece he wrote on Tuna Valley Knives on our website.  Great information! He covers the early name and Case, the Great Eastern connection, and Queen Cutlery's role and production of some super knives over the last five years.

Real regal set of Cotton Samplers !!!! Congrats Carl !!

  • Jan Carter

Long live the Kings!  They certainly are impressive

I like these group shots. Here is another, showing all 6 variations of the Cigar knives from 2010 and 2012.

  • Jan Carter

I like those shots also!! Thanks for sharing them

Everyone get ready! The newest Tuna Valley knives are nearly finished. The Phoenix Jack is coming out in 3 new variations!

50 pieces with Raindrop Damascus blades, and Catalina Wine Mixer Bone handles.
50 pieces with Raindrop Damascus blades, and Smooth Buffalo Horn handles.
50 pieces with 154CM Steel blades, and Genuine India Amber Stag handles.

  • Tim

    That Wine Bone is nice.

  • Carl Bradshaw

I like that wine bone a lot too!

  • Ralph Nelson

The Catalina Wine Mixer Bone... looks superb with the raindrop. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those.

  • Carl Bradshaw

I got a nice photo of my Phoenix Jack knife in Burnt Stag today. I really like the heavy feel of these knives. Anyone else have one to show off?

  • Tim

Great picture. Those are really nice. Like the stag on that one.

  • Jan Carter

That truly is a beautiful knife Carl !  As a user I think I like the 154CM best

  • Carl Bradshaw

I like the 154CM also. But the raindrop Damascus sure is eye catching.

For anyone looking, I see there are just a handful still available at a few dealers.

  • Carl Bradshaw

Here is a neat one to show off.  A handle material that was never used on Tuna knives, on a pattern that was never made for Tuna knives.  2017 1 of 1 special, Boy's Jack Knife in Lightning Wood. Pretty unique!
