Daniels Family Knife Brands

The Daniels family have been involved in knives for five generations, from trading, selling, manufacturing, and now distribution.

This new chapter has begun for Ryan and Courtney Daniels.  "Daniels Family Knife Brands" is offering the exiting new Excelsior Knife Company line of knives directly crafted by the knife makers that also design them. They also are continuing the very popular Tuna Valley Cutlery Co. knife brand, marketed towards the contemporary collector.

Thanks to everyone for all their support over the years, and we hope to talk with you in person at one of the many knife shows we attend throughout the year! We have many projects on the horizon, and hope you check here often to see what is coming next.

Looks like a very special knife.. The lightning wood is scary when you think about the voltage right beside your hands in making it - I have abandoned plans to use this process. I like the boys knife especially with a bail and chain - I lost too many of this boy's knives...

  • Jan Carter

I have a couple in the lightning wood and it is just a stunning reminder that even when she is heavy handed Mother Nature can create beauty

  • Carl Bradshaw

You do NOT get much more collectible than this one!

  • Carl Bradshaw

I agree Jan, pretty impressive. I've held a few of them too, and the quality is top tier.  Only 100 made.

  • Carl Bradshaw

I had to show off this one I've never shown here before. Old original 1906 German made Tuna Valley, imported and sold by Case.  I have 2 different ones of these, and only know of 5 other ones in the world. Very rare, very collectible.

  • Tim

Interesting that Case imported & sold those. Very nice.

  • Carl Bradshaw

Yes during the Case/Platts merger, inventory was low, and the new factory wasn't ready to start making knives yet.  So they imported a few patterns out of Germany so that they could keep product going out to customers until they were on their feet again.
