Hey Manville, you should make this group open to everyone so they don't need to wait for permission to get in...they were talking about making another group and ditching this one...Just a suggestion!

Has anyone seen the new full flat grind of the new Native? It looks awesome. I just wish the price was a bit lower.
  • DrBlade

Anthony right on the full flat grind Native is killer. The spyderco forum 2009 knife is a full flat grind purple Native.

Does anyone own a Ladybug? I just picked one up (foliage green) and it's in the mail. A short review would be appreciated.
  • Flashblade

Hi Anthony, I've been carrying a Ladybug on and off for about 3 years now. I use it for all sorts of tasks. I'm in the IT field and use it to cut network cables all the time. The serations cut through the wire like butter. The main reason I carry the ladybug is because of it's size. It's very comfortable to keep in your pocket without gouging you. Also, it's not intimidating to the folks that don't understand knife people, although I've had people commented on how tough it looks for a small knife. Hope this helps.

Why the low activity on this site? I know there are alot of us out there. Looking forward to first of October as I should have a Manix 2 and a Native IV to check out as my very own, if all of the backorders are filled that is. I now have the Spyderco knife storage case. Holds all of my folders but no room for more, you know what that means... Anyway just trying to spark some interest here.

I'm curious as well. Why the eligibility process. I mean we're all knife lovers so what's up?

Just got back from the Gateway knife show here in St. Louis. I was able to make only one purchase and had it narrowed down to a Mcusta or a Spyderco. The Spyderco J.D. Smith got to go home with me. Bought if from Grand Prairie Knives from Troy, Illinois. Great people. Check out there website. gpknives.com $138.00. Ya baby. Will own a Mcusta someday.
  • michael cassani

Oh, ya. Will probably get the Spyderco Dragonfly in green G10 next. Or maybe the Manix 2, or the........ oh, nevermind.

    HELLO TO ALL SPYDIES...
I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME ABOUT THIS SPYDERCO CLIPIT EXECUTIVE C04S. I BELIEVE DISCONTINUED IN 1994 THANKS
  • Rusty R Halsey

My new user came today - that is, if I can stand to get it scratched. It is a plain stainless steel handle dragonfly. I really do want to cut something with it and try out that VG-10 steel, but the first scratch is going to hurt. Maybe the first step will be to stop polishing it with simichrome and actually put it in my pocket. I've pictured it with it's sister, the tatooed lady.

Hey Spydie Addicts!!! As a new member and collector, I am interested to see what your favorites are and what problems you may have had with a specific model. I just received the Phoenix which I couldn't wait to get my hands on, hopefully it will be a collectors item one day.
