I'm a multi-tasking father of 4, husband of one, real estate auctioneer and one who enjoys our hobby & nice knife folks.

Knife shows; KNIFE AUCTIONS; observing social changes brought on by technology and specifically its impact on our daily lives....and of course, all things Mac.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the tip on the whittling. I have always loved whittling myself though I am not good at it. My son wants to learn and wants his first knife to be a whittler. My great grandfather was very, very accomplished and I have a lot of his pieces that are really beautiful.
thank you for the invitation. i will be checking out the site you mentioned on et's. thank you for your nice web sites, and your hard work. i am impressed with what i have seen so far. jack.
Hey Scott
just come in from the Lake, and going again next Monday and stay untill after the Fourth of July. Caught a lot of fish with the Grand Kids.
Talk to you later.
No I'm still around .... just pretty busy with other things. I just joined the Remington Cutlery Collectors Club. I wish I didn't live so far away from TN. I would love to go the big show in Seiverville.
Omg scott!! that is so sweet!!! I hope she catches the bug just like I did!! Of course, if this stupid bill or whatever passes...we will have a hard time letting go....
Hey scott, I am staying with the moras for now. I am testing alot of Gerber knives and tools out. I have vids on them. Im always looking for a good knife though.
Ryan......
Scott, Good to hear from you. Bladeops.com in not my site i do work for them off and on(help with videos, take pictures, or clean the warehouse)in turn they give me a small discount on knives. Hopefuly I could go full time with them someday. If you ever need a knife or any questions I would love to help you out.
i saw Rich`s knives. He`s had them for quite awhile.the HSB is rehandled. The wr case I`m not sure about. It is stamped 8250.pearl looks too good for me.Both knives came from Parkers. If you have the pics of the catalog Vernon sent you they should be in it.By the way,did you ever get better pics of that catalog, what you send me I couldn`t see it or read it.
Same time last year my 1st youtube account was randomly shutdown. I just got back from my 1 month mission where i had no internet and found out my entire channel was gone, again. thats about 70 videos i made that are gone for good.
Karlee got sick 60 miles into NC,
Got a flat tire in Northern Virginia,
Kaylin got sick first of the week,
Had a cracked intake manifold day before we left PA,
A/C went out in "Mayberry, NC" , on the way home, and Goober couldnt fix it.
In between all that, we had a great time. Picked me up a new GTH Hat;
Morning Scott - I see that your off and running early. Sounds like JJ had a great adventure this weekend. This weekend all I did was go crabbing, and bought two knives - AAPK culb knife and a Russlock outof the LE commemorative set.
So have agreat day - later

Sorry for falling in a hole since you replied back to my post on the speeding tickets.
But..do you have any pics of your awful sounding wreak you described or is there a link someone on the web to it? Thanks goodness you survived.

Scott...
I used to have that magazine, but that was years ago. Almost 50 years. The only thing I can remember about that period is being out in the front yard at my aunt and uncles house with a garden hose. I was watering the lawn and my pants fell down. The lady from next door had to come over and pull them back up for me. I was in a body cast from the hips up to my neck.! hahaha
Hi Scott ;not much since the blade show my mother has been sick for just about the whole month of July . She's in hospice now so yau'll say a prayer for her and thanks for checking up on me .I will get back in the swing after this is done Gary
Take your time on the survey bro!!!
But, make me a nice PIE GRAPH
Us economists LOVE graphs...hehhehehehe
A few examples of how I came to collect WHAT:
1)I "smuggled" in from Mexico at age 11 a PAstor Aleman "switchblade"
So, Now I am on the lookout for Pastor Aleman knives
Ever seen a Pastor Aleman??lol
2)I went to my buddies house
He had a Luxrite butcher knife his grandfather gave him
So, now I have a Luxrite (Hollywood,CA) hunting knife
Ever heard of Luxrite?
3)I lost a Western L66 in Colorado at age 15
I like the fact that some of them say BOULDER,CO
(I have a house and roots in Colorado)
So, now I collect Western BOULDER, CO knives
And any knives that say Colorado on them
Ever heard of Mancos, CO?? Timberline knives??
4)I found a SQUARE (woodworking tool) at a thrift shop that was made by Southington Cutlery
I did some research and found out the square was at least 100 yrs old!!
It led me to keep an eye out for Southington Cutlery knives
I don;t have one yet
But, I found a Southington Hardware Kan Kut can opener from the 30's at a antique shop...
I been lurking at the Custom Knife sub forum on BF
I have one custom knife
I figure it's a natural progression to get into custom knives
Still got love for production knives with history though...
Plus
I love taking pictures of knives
It's a learning process
Still got a ways to go
I'll post up some more soon
I have about 10 more I need to photograph
I use my Flickr accnt as a sort of "pictorial inventory" of my knives
I wnet on Buck buying binge a few weeks ago
Got all nostalgic......
I
Hey Scott! Sorry for delay in answering you buddy. The show is Dec 10-12, 2009. I can email you an ad in pdf if you would like to add. Also, would love to do a Bulldog group. Let me know what to do on that when you have time.
Thank you for your thoughts and kind words. The prayers seem to be helping though, they postponed my friend's surgery in hopes of shrinking the tumor with drugs for 2 months. Her daughter goes to the orthopedic tomorrow afternoon and we'll know more after her doctor's visit.
This summer's been crazy! I can't believe it's already August! Where does the time go??? Have fun on your two upcoming trips and who knows, you may trade in that toenail collection for a tactical collection before it's all said and done! lol
This is pretty funny, picture the knife yoiu have shown 5" closed with a blade 1/4" thick. Would that make yoiu happy, if so, picture our Texas Ranger for 2011
Scott, I am one of a few that keep the A.G. Russell and Russell's for Men websites up an running and I also help out in the retail store. Thanks for the warm welcome!!
Thanks , Scott, I do appreciate the welcome !! The proposals of marriage are pouring in, I may have to posy a different image that is a little less Racy.

PS: A B Haines calls me every month looking for Canoes.

Radio iKC!!!
You could save them as MP3's and upload them to your "radio player"
If you need help let me know
I manipulate/ edit/WAV/MP3 files all night/every night!!!
Maybe somthing like===> Weekly Knife Ramblings from Scott presented by iKC
or some Yanni music to get us in the mood ;)
Thanks for the kind comments. Life is pretty busy now and money short, but I'll still find some time to check out knives and pick some up.
What is your daughter studying? I'm trying to finish up my masters in history (U.S. foreign policy).
Not to be a downer but do you know what the status is over that U.S. Customs legislation? I keep hearing that our knives may be taken away but I don't hear any information as to whether the bill passed or not.
Well, there is something to be said for the "old school stuff." Too much of today's journalism is entertainment and little substance. But it is vital to know your way around a computer.
Yeah, I've been paying rent on an apt all summer long even though I'm at home. It stinks but I needed to do it so I had somewhere to live in the fall. If anyone benefited from this mortgage disaster, it must have been landlords/apartment building owners.
Thanks for the link to that news blog. It looks very professional and insightful. I'll be reading it regularly now. Good job.
yes I did! I had a wonderful birthday! Lee and some friends and his parents pitched in and surprised me with a Canon Rebel XSi digital SLR camera! So now I can live my photography dream! yay! I can't wait to post some awesome pics on here soon! That is so cool that you have gone tactical now! It wasn't really that hard was it? When you love knives...sometimes you just can't discriminate! lol
from june - august i set an itinerary to travel across the country and do lots of hiking and experimented, and i rarely get the chance to see a computer which is why ive been so inactive. ive been to so many great places so far and have some good things to talk about when i get back.
it might take me a while to get thou the whole E.T. web site but i learned a lot about elephant toenails i all so went on ebay and looked at the elephant toenails i had no ideal they can cost so much!
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!! (wtf)...Scott when you showed that Strider Nightmare Grind RCC w/gunner grips at the end of that news update....I got goosebumps!!!
I could save for one but, it so easy to walk into a local store and buy a gun, knife, or gear. That my online wants get neglected...lol!
