  • Dave White

Good morning Scott, just one quick question...Are there any differences between elephant toenails and sunfish knives? And if so, what are they?.....
  • Dave White

Thanks for the input Scott,...My Granddad used to love them,...sadly he didn't leave me any.
  • Jeff

    Hi Scott,
    Thanks for the welcome :-)
I've got to investigate this place thoroughly, looks like a good site :-)

    Jeff.
  • Tom Cai

Man, Scott. I just saw the vid on your youtube page. You've been really decking it all out with the Striders! :D
  • Tom Cai

Cool. The RC (I'm guessing that's the small one, or do you mean the PT?) seems like overkill for an EDC. :D
  • J.T. [HELLZZARMY]

yeah I know what you mean...I'm hoping for a certain shot sometimes but, it not even in the line-up. Don't really know I think it's a crap shoot but, I could be wrong.

Jeff (cutlerylover) might have some insight to that question.

  • phil freeman

Hi Scott will take some pics of my collection and post them soon as I have bought or borrowed a decent camera, also I will check out the Tactical group sounds good.
  • phil freeman

Thanks I will take some pics with my phone and see how they come out first, thanks.
  • J.J. Smith III

Scott, you still use the e-mail address that you used on SF ?
Messages aren't working right and I sent you one to that one.
  • J.J. Smith III

Yep, I read your 2 parter from my Yahoo account. The one that you got was through regular e-mail, not iKC messages. I tried to access the messages, last night and they were down. Couldn't send one this morning either. (Neither rain, sleet nor gloom of night...)
  • J.J. Smith III

I guess that's what happens when you have a government run media, right, Mr. Mayor. LOL
No bother, I'd have to win twice to pay for the extra X's on my shirt.

I did get with the cartography office and they said they wanted a raise...

    They signed on for this...

And are looking at this as a foture job...

  • Jim Diehl

Thanks for the warm Welcome. I am glad to be here with like minded collectors. Gives us all a common interest and love of fine craftsmanship.
  • Brian Wilhoite

  • Leo Courshon

Thanx for the kind Hello and I'm enjoying your forum so far!!!
  • Philip Booth

Scott. There are times when I get crazy [like before the
blade show] But my knives really rather evolve as they are being made. Keeps things slow and fresh.
  • J.J. Smith III

    Scott,
The family went to a Chinese Resteraunt for my daughters birthday.
    This was the fortune cookie...

Yeah, I know. Too much time and all that... SSDD
  • Tom Cai

That's quiet a sweet collection there of Striders.
  • marcinek

Thanks Scott. Very nice site you have going here. I'm sure you and I have run into each other before...I currently spend the vast majority of my knife discussion time on knifeforums, before to that bladeforums, and before that AAPK. Looking forward to spending some time here!
  • Dave White

Thanks Scott, that pic emphasizes the size of our beloved Charlie, Kim is 18 and maybe 115 #, and you can see how she's dwarfed by that big, lovable dog at 145#....and he's still a growing puppy!
  • J.J. Smith III

That'll teach me to go to bed early, last nignt, and not do a drive by first. Had a Drs. appointment this morning.
Got in after lunch and picked up the paper. (WOW)
Thanks for the feature and front page above the fold too.

(Must have been a REAL SLOW day down at the publishing company.)
  • Brad Hyde

    Hey Scott,
I'm here to learn even though I have been collecting for 30 years and a dealer for 3 years....you can never stop learning. I look forward in learning from iKC and contributing to iKC. Thanks, Brad
  • J.T. [HELLZZARMY]

  • J.J. Smith III

Hey Scott. I hope you're enjoying your summer. I'm looking forward to the extended weekend--finally a chance to relax! I think that I'll go fishing. :)
  • Bruce Piehl

Hey Scott, Thanks for asking. The Fort Worth Show,(The Fort Worth Origenal Gun Show) was a big hit. The croud came with cash in hand. Sunday was as good as Saturday. This is a well run show! There were 1200 tables, 500 dealers. People brought in some nice trades, custom and production pieces. I will be back there on the 19 of Spetember. with anoughter promoter (Hiigh Caliber Gun & Knife Show) I 'll put a listing up now.
  • Ken W.

Thanks Scott! I have a lot of my collection on my website and add more when time allows.

That ole girl sure was busy,

    made $551., $692., and $891., $1,141., $1162., and $1134. last week.

Lot of money to be made sellin SPAM sandwiches...
  • Michael S. Hoover

Scott, Thank you for the kind commen ts about my art work. I do appreciate it. I do not use Sunfish or Toenails often as they are really difficult to do with their wide flat bolsters. I need a curve in the stone to do a really good polish on the stone...
  • Bob C.

Hello Scott, Its great to be here. Feeling right at home.
  • Eddipoco (Blue Ridge Ed)

    Thanks Scott...
This IKC group is mighty inviting and welcoming.
I've always found that Knife Collectors practiced "Southern Hospitality" no matter from whence they came.

Hey Mr King. Thanks. I'll have to show you i knife i picked up last christmas. Its more of a high tech knife i guess. I got it at this huge knife store called Knife Works in Gatlinburg. If your ever in that area i would suggest you go and visit.
    Thanks again
  • Kane Stapler

Haha alright. I'll check and see what he says about that. Are knife shows up there pretty big? I have never heard of one before i started reading stuff on this website.
