Funny and really a little bit true.
I have an old scanner that I've programmed the local aircraft frequencies on.
I'll sit on the porch carving and listening in to the PSB and A/C bands.

.. and .. you even look more relaxed today !!!
  • Trent Rock

    Yeah
I feel for NING customer service
    They are taking a pounding!!
I guess 3 days wasn't that bad of a response time
It would have been nice to inform me WHY my account was suspended, in the 1st place
I only found out it was the spam filer by going on their forums
And found out it was happening to A LOT of other members
  • J.J. Smith III

Good to see that you broke out the spring wardrobe.

    Scott,

This is along the lines of what I'm looking for. There are more detailed mechanical specs in the RFQ. But, this will give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

The MIL-K-818D does identify the criteria held important enough to test & verify, (for this specific knife model). Also, defines test parameters/procedures required for performance validation. Re: Sect 4, Quality Assurance Provisions.
  • J.J. Smith III

Sorry I haven't been as active as I should have. Just got the results of my medical tests back...

  • J.J. Smith III

    LOL.
    Nah, everything is about usual.
If I counted right there are only 10 of the listed complaints that pertain to me...

Like you said "So, lets have fun as we can, OK?"

(Sometimes I just crack myself up.)</</u>b>

You planning on "staying out of trouble" ..or.. "having some fun" ?!?!

    Hehehe .. do enjoy !!!
  • J.T. [HELLZZARMY]

Sorry Scott...no party. Just had a few drinks at a club with some friends. I'm not the party (big celebration for an accomplishment) type.

I'm more of a recluse. Plus, people don't usually like to hear from me. "HeyJT's looking for you. What! Why? what did I do?" LOL!
  • Randy Haas Jr.

  • J.J. Smith III

  • J.J. Smith III

    Gotta "Nip it".

  • J.J. Smith III

    Mornin' my friend.
Looks like I'm the first one to say Happy Founders Day.
Hope you got your rest, you got a busy day. Be sure to double check your speach, you didn't spring for the teleprompter.
We got a couple of groups to play before your speach, not the greatest but they're knife folks too.
After your speachifying is over, you're scheduled to pass out the "Official Founders Day Knife"

We ordered 2000 and we're only 11 members short but the day is young, we've still got 21 hours to go.
  • William Bilbro

    Thankee, Scott!
I'm now an official "geezer", I guess.
I'd go out for a drink, but it makes me sleepy and I might have to go to bed and miss the six o'clock news.

  • J.J. Smith III

    Hey Scott,
Remember the old saying about all work and no play...
  • J.J. Smith III

    Mornin' Mayor,
The results of your hard work and dedication to iKC is seen in many unexpected places. Looks like your "Paperwork" is coming along just fine.

    Re: JJ's posting .. too cool/funny !!

.. noticed the Parker signature .. ?? PKCS ?? . that would be unique !!!
  • J.J. Smith III

I got folks that send them to me now, from time to time. (Nice to have friends that look out for ya. ) Some, more than others, are compatable with iKC.

Me, I still look for the "Roadkill" inspired ones.

Saw one the other day, with a "Mr. Potato Head" theme. Thought of you!!!
  • J.J. Smith III

Be sure to read how much things have changed (and stayed the same(?)) in the last 100 years. From the American Journal of Psychology, 1910.
  • J.J. Smith III

Be doin' better when that "Tee, Eye, double Guh, Er" gets off my noggin.
Seriously though, thanks for the BD wishes. Heading out to TRY to find something sharp and pointy, to treat myself with today...

  • KnifeMaker

    Jack Fulley

gonna buy the bm 51 bali and maybe a benchmite or griptillian.
  • Gerald Hines

Thanks Scott. I hope to see you again in July.
  • Gerald Hines

  • Andrew Perkins

Thanks! Looks like an interesting group. Wish I had more time to poke around.
  • Sunil Ram

Scott, with Ning switching to a pay service in July, will we be required to pay to be a member of iKnifeCollector, if so how much, or will you look for another free host site?
  • Jesse Kinman

Hey Scott, thanks for the update, Sorry if I've been bothersome, I'm just a little bit excited about it, if you can't already tell!!! Thanks again, Jesse
  • Bob Andrews

Thanks for the welcome Scott. This site seems a lot more friendly than another knife forum I've been at. More of an International flavor to the membership and greater variety in the types of knives they collect. I'm still getting used to the Format,so I'll be doin a lot of bouncing around for awhile. Bob
  • Bob Robinson

Thanks, I will post some when I get time.
  • MUHAMMAD NADEEM

    Hi Scott
Thanks for your assistance. i was not familiar with the rules. But don't worry i will not leave any comment any more infect never!
    Best regards
  • MUHAMMAD NADEEM

Moreover you should be polite to making the people understand the rules. I am a MBA graduate & specialist in marketing, So, i advise you to please when you are warning somebody who break rules for first time give him a smile and say this is not allowed when he repeat it then go on your own way. got it.
    Thanks & Bye
  • J.J. Smith III

Saw the pic on FB. They look REAL nice. Pitty that there are pureists that chose to pass on it, just because it is made in China.

    Jack Fulley

hey man can i have the info and the cost on the new 2010 ikc knife? My Email is mad1239@gmail.com,which you could send it to or you could send it to my account on here by just sendin me a message. Because if it's in my price range i would love to get it.
  • Andy Voelkle "AxeMan"

They've just about got my leg healed up after that accident last August, and I'll be going up to the woods very cautiously this week to use the dozen new axes and saws I bought while city-bound. I sure appreciate what you and A.G. Russell did to get our iKC 2010 Club Knife into reality. I am looking forward to mine as a macho EDC blade, to go with my new StayGlow Yellow Victorinox SwissChamp and my Spyderco Pacific Salt. Hopefully the two yellow knives will minimize my having to do a "Mantracker" and find where I laid a dark knife on the ground. About 30 years ago I borrowed a buddies Estwing pick, and it took me 4 hours to retrace my steps in the desert to find it. Now my stuff gets some brighter paint, tape or handle. See my pix for my fav dozen little camp axes, at high res.
  • J.J. Smith III

Yep, I guess the Post Office does have its share of problems...

  • Sunil Ram

I sent you a message and just wanted to get it in a second time just in case.
I would like to get the Sunfish Club Knife if it's still available.
  • Derek Smith

    Hey Man,
You sure picked a winner for the first iknifecollector knife!!
I am so impressed with this knife, that my jaw is on the floor.
    Wow!

Thanks for everything and keep up the good work!

    Derek
