Happy Birthday but one day late . what happen to you at the blade show I didn't see you?

OK are you going to Bradford . The Blade show was good for me I went by the Parker Show .I thank it's dead ,small show!

WELL THE MRI SHOWED NO BROKE BONES IN MY BACK,BUT MY SPINE HAS A CURVE WHERE IT WAS MESSED UP BEFORE AND THE CALCIUM HAS WELDED EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER,AND CAN'T BE REPAIRED,THE THEY FOUND A BIG MASS IN MY THYRIOD GLAND SO A TRIP TO ANOTHER DR.THEM THEIR GOING TO SEE WHAT ELSE THEY CAN DO FOR ME..THANKS FOR CHECKING ON ME ...

We had a great time. Weather was nice and the fireworks in Maggie Valley were top notch. Only problem was I couldn't fine a single whittler on the east side of the Smokey Mtns. Dis see one of CASE's new med stockmans (orange pocket worn) that I may have to pick up when we go back next week.

Hi Scott, this online community stuff is kinda hard for me to keep up with so don't be surprised if I respond slowly to things here, I hope to get better at it. Thank you for the good words about my knives, it a passion I've had for a long time.

Hi Scott! I am now traveling in Chattanooga, some 1100 miles from home! We are at a watch & clock collector regional meeting. I was expecting to visit the knife museum that I thought was in that town but just learned that the museum is now located in Sevierville, some 135 miles away! I am not sure yet whether we will head this way - I'll raise the matter with my wife. Many thanks on helping me identify the knife. I'll have better pictures on my return home. Thanks for the welcome. I am looking forward to learing more about knife collecting and getting to know other collectors. I have a couple of old knifes in very poor condition. Any suggestions on how to clean them up? I not sure if it is even worth the effort. I uploaded pictures.

I've only been a member for less than a week and have already spent about 7 hours cruising the site. lots of experienced knife collectors that are willing to provide insight if needed. I've asked this question to others, I have a knife from Crown Cutlery Co. out of New York, there are two pics in my photos, pic's 6293 and 6295. it has a small jigged boned handle with one blade, can you tell me anything about the Company or even the value of this knife? thanks agin, John

Scott, Thanks again for the warm welcome and the information on the Cotton Sampler blade. It has been a fun week becoming familiar with the site, and I am still learning the many avenues of communication. As I said in one post, the site is all new and shiny. Perhaps like a fresh knife :-). I am pretty sure that I became familiar with one of your articles in the Cutlery News Journal sometime back when cruising the web. The article had a picture of 4 toenail knives which the author relayed were the origin of his knife collecting affliction. ah er hobby. And unless I am mixing stories like metaphors, the author further went on to describe the spirit world ( as in voices and shoes dropping in the night) of how the knives spoke to him saying I'm the one . You know you'll take me home no matter what. Well Scott if that was you then I can blame / thank you for helping me along in my knife collection journey. The voices started saying come on you know you do not want to miss this opportunity, you will never have another chance. Well Scott, not sure if that was your article, but now I have found an entire web site that may have the same underlying voice that it is ok to have a little fun in life, swap a few stories, and pick up a few knives for the box.
