About Me
Boring is the best way to describe my life. Boring, however, can be good.

My father (died at 88 & a half) had a little farm in east Texas and didn't leave much for the last fifthteen years of his life. The catfish buffet in Nacogdoches on Friday night, the Woden 1st Baptist church on Sunday & once a month to Barksdale A.F.B for groceries and perhaps the doctor. He wouldn't even go to Houston so if his wife wanted to see her great-grandkids, she went by herself.

If you wanted to see him, you went to Woden. I'm starting to realize how smart my father was!
Interests
waking up each morning, poker, pickin' (long before the TV series), afternoon naps, fishing & just being lazy

Larry, the pic that you posted to the Other Collectors discussion is great. Is the camera that's on the front, right, perhaps an Exacta?

What got me to qusetioning it was the fiewfinder.

I've got an Exacta (Varex) that I got from a friend.  It was her husbands and he had picked it up in Germany.  Got the origional sales recipt, somewhere.  I'll see how it compared to the Exa.

Got  an old Poleroid, at the time, also.

    So what is the "VX"?

(I've got to dig the Exacta book out of storage.)

I've only shot 1 or 2 rolls of film through mine.  Had to have the lens repaired not long after I got it.  Took good photos too.

Mine has both, as best as I recall, yep, had to dig it out.

Web photo, mine has a 50mm Schneider-Kreuznach  Xenon lens  (1:1.9)

I gotta get out to the shed, this week, and get my Exakta book.

I saw the Jimmy Stewart story when I was looking up my camera. For some reason, I've never even tried to look it up till I saw your Exa.

Still trying to find out exactly what the type of lens that I have is called. (Preset?, Automatic Preset?, IDK)

Thanks Larry, it's just that I've had my eye on that Randall Model8 Trout & Bird knife for a long time now. That and the Model 5 just sorta grabs me? I'm sure you know that "feeling" well.
