I started with Trappers and found out that there are a lot of patterns out there. I generally buy what looks good and price does matter. The brands that you mentioned are all good brands. GEC are the best built. I finally bought my first Cripple Creek and recieved it today. It is one that was built by GEC instead of Queen. I will be buying more in the future. I am hooked on the sunfish/elephant toe pattern right now. This is not a cheap pattern to collect. There is a lot of good people on this sight that are really knife sharp. I don't think one can ever quit learning.

Not really a Barlow collector, but I had an accumulation of them long ago. Something that's familiar and comforting in a good Barlow.

April 12th is a good day for a birthday!
I collect Barlows too Bruce. What kind do you focus on? How many do you have etc etc??
I have mostly Russell's and right now have just 11,8 are Russell.
My other focus is switchbbladees, but I have a lot of other pocketknives. I am selling most of my non-Barlows so I can buy more Barlows.
Have a good birthday.
