archaeologist/Inspector-Antiquities Theft Preventing Unit (IAA),father of two sons,love knives.Live in a Kibutz(like a small village) surounded by beautiful hills.spend most of my time outdoor,mostly in the southern part of Israel.An amateur blacksmith (have my own small smithy),like learning about all kind of metals/steels.

    Hello fellow knife collector friend. Thank you but I do not consider my collection to be so amazing. I have a wide spectrum of knives from all around the globe but for the most part they are standard production model so you can buy them if you like. I know some of collectors here have big amazing custom knife collection and they deserve more attention not that it doesn't make me happy to read your comment but you know with a reasonable amount of time and money you could have a collection like mine in no time. Me it have too almost 15 years.  Keep collecting and also using them one a collectors curse is that at some point you are afraid to take them out of the display case :-)

    Hello Guy, of course I will allow him to carry it in his pocket when we are on our regular hikes, and he will be able to use it in front of me. I also have a ten year old and he was 7 when I first gave him a knife. It was an Opinel, he still has it and carries it on his person during the summer holidays and the weekends, because he is an avid airsoft enthusiast. Running around in the forrest all the time. The children must learn that it is a tool which can help them with endless tasks, and that they must be careful when using it.
