    Thank you for all your kind comments. A couple weeks ago I cleaned up a few of my own knives as they had been used pretty extensively in the kitchen for a number of years. Took them back up to a 4000 grit and sharpened them on a stone. I am reluctant to put them back into the kitchen at this time and will keep them as part of my collection to pass on one day. 

    I have also been busy buying a couple of knives for myself. I once owned a Chris Reeves Shadow III, bit of a long story but I destroyed it during some testing! Always wanted another, so I found one on ebay. I promise I will look after this one.
