Hi William, I have about 5 Barry Wood and Mike Irie knives. I have been thinking of putting together a display showing the progression from Barry Wood, then Wood / Irie and finally just Mike Irie. I need one more knife to complete my collection.

    Hi William.

I would be willing to sell the Wood prototype, but I'm having a hard time putting a price on it. I sent the knife to Mike Irie, who wrote me that the knife was made by Steve Gilbody (Barry's lead man in the early 70's) and that this knife was the prototype for the Mark 6 Caper. He goes on to write that "this knife would be highly collectable to those who follow Barry's work". I'm now in the process of trying to better understand exactly what that means. Any ideas welcome.

    Regards,

    Bill BurnsĀ
