About Me
I am 42 and have been collecting knives for about 10yrs. I am married and have 4 beautiful girls. I am very involved in Church and love the LORD.I live in Youngsville Pa just 45 min west of WR Case and 20 min east of Queen and Great Eastern. There are several knife companies that have come and gone close to me as I love to collect them all.
Hey BigDen, I believe your a member of AAPK? I just saw that you joined us here at IKC and I wanted to welcome you. Thanks for already sharing some wonderful pics of some awesome knives, I hope you enjoy this place as much as I have. There is a great group of people on here.
Well Den, it's nice to have another AAPK member join me here. There is a big difference in the two sites, but the people are just as friendly here. I look forward to seeing your posts and sharing your thoughts and stories of the knives we all love. It's great to have you.
By chance, were you set up at the Queen knife show in Titusville a couple years back?
I wasn't able to attend the Queen show last year, but I was there back in '09. If I remember correctly I saw you there, but it may have been at another show. I really didn't know you well enough and I hadn't been an AAPK member for that long, but I should have introduced myself. I did spend a bit of time ogling your knives.
I live about an hour away from GEC and I try to make it to the Rendezvous every year. I didn't know if you were going, but it would be a cool chance to meet another member.
I live in Sarver Pa, it's about 40 minutes from Pittsburgh.
The gathering is a good time, I only visited the one day, but it was to my understanding that Saturday they had a pig roast or some kind of pic nick. I wasn't there, so I can't be 100% sure.
I've gotten to meet a few of the members of this forum and it was just a good time talking with them. I also met Ryan Daniels, who I am certain you have as well. They have tours that are very informative as well.
They have a sales room to, so picking out another GEC to take home is aways nice.
For the me it's a great time speaking with the employees and owners of GEC and speaking with the customers and fellow collectors. Jan Carter and her husband Donnie make the trip from FL every year, so it must be a good time.
It's been good talking to you as well. That Queen sure is a beauty, I'll have to check around, but I don't think I have a buyer. It's a great one though.
Congrats on a wonderful family, God Has blessed you well.
