does that mean you don't like my elephant toenails then :) LOL

Glad you like the Strider. That blade grind by itself resulted in me buying my first tactical....and now I have four....in two weeks :) Gotta stop though. Heck, I'm too deep into antique knives :)
  • Dave White

  • Dave White

Thank you friend, the bike rides as well as she looks....And I hope to post more gun/ knife pics soon.
  • Dave White

Thanks for the compliments Chris, I like the sound of that green/black .45,....My AR-15 is O.D./black, and I think it's a sharp color combination. My .45 is blue, but it's my 1st choice for handgun caliber too. I have a Colt series 70 Gold Cup N.M. that I bought over 20 yrs. ago, that is my pride and joy. I used to shoot weekly at my gun club, and reloaded .45 regularly....I've more recently been focusing on my long gun addiction, and love my military rifles...But ammo/component prices have put a damper on shooting, of course.........Join the gun club here,...always good to see more shooters at this site.

  • Jeff Lilja

You know it's kinda funny. I 've had Ontario knives in the kitchen drawer for years. Never once did I have any issues with them either. Maybe a bit of rust here and there , otherwise good to go. Looking at a Goverment issue machete by Ontario. In the process of making a Kukri for clearing brush etc. where I deer hunt, but think it'd be kinda nice to have a decent machete instead. Not too expensive , rugged and easy to sharpen . Has the sawback on top edge to remove smaller diameter stuff too. Watched a great vid on Youtube where the guy made a decent/inexpensive kit on outside of sheath {wildernessoutfitters}.

    Have a great Thanksgiving!

    Hey Chris,

Since you are enjoying the wonderful world of Zero Tolerance Knives, here's the place with the best prices that I have found...

    http://www.botachdefense.com/SearchResults.asp?mfg=Kershaw

They're a great source for all things tactical. The problem is that their communication leaves much to be desired. Hope this helps.

    Happy New Year!

Hi Chris, thanks for the invite, this online community stuff is kinda hard for me to keep up with so don't be surprised if I respond slowly to things here.
    Take care, JD
  • David Hawkins

Hi Chris. Your reviews have received some well deserved notice and we were wondering if you would be interested in a review group. We have an iKC forum discussion here and we welcome your thoughts.
  • David Hawkins

  • Ben

Hey Chris thanks for joining my group Outdoor Living! I saw that you have the Ontario Gen II SP47. I have been thinking about getting one. Have you had a chance to test it out at all?

Hey Chris!! THANKS FOR THE INVITE!
Wow, that Gold Class Benchmade is tooo rich for my blood, I haven't gotten to that serious collection stage yet. I must admit, the collection of knives is very addictive and expensive and with all the holiday sales I know my credit card will take a hit.
    Stay Sharp

Awesome collection, Chris. I have one Benchmade Pika and 1 Spyderco Tanacious. Absolutely great knives. I am going to be buying more of them. I also like SOG KNIVES. I do have a Cold Steel Voyager that is awesome. Thanks for the invite for the friend. I really like your collection of tacticals.

Welcome to the Great Eastern Cutlery Group, we're glad you joined us

  • Jim Thompson

Chris, Thanks for the comment but I do not believe this knife is authentic. It is in mint condition and the workmanship is very proffessional.  I surley wish it was legit. I have a significant collection of Case knives (none with blade stamping this old) and all of the research I have done I have not seen this specific pattern style in the Case lineup. If I can remember I will consult Jim Sargents opinion at our knife club show in August.
  • Luca Vignelli

    Chris,

I just posted the price quotes from GEC for the custom black buffalo horn #36 Sunfish. I just need you to reconfirm that you still want one, or more, now that we have a firm price quote.

You can check out all the latest info I posted on the GEC Group page and let me know there.

    Thanks!

  • Gary Norton

  • Carl Newton

Hi Chris, nice to know you, Glad you like my small collection of knives. I have a few more to photograph as I had trouble with internet explorer 9, which would not work on our site but I,ve changed back to I.E. 8 and all is well. I'll be talking with you. Carl
  • Carl Newton

Hi Chris, well that IE9 just about drove me to drinking. It took 2 or 3 weeks to figure it out, just as Hog and Scott gave me the answer. I changed back to IE.8 and everything was OK, had to go to my son for help, he loved it, he thinks he's a Guru or something like that,Ha Ha.Talk to you later Chris, Carl
  • Billy Oneale

Chris, here is a citadel I bought about a month ago. I have a few good ones to show when I get them uploaded. Here is a start just for you. I've bought a few Bulldogs and a Fight'n Rooster sunfish . I will add them to my photos in the near future. I've been trying to catalog some of my cheap imported knives and get everything cataloged and listed. What a time consuming chore. I've also been trying to get everything I have on pictures.
  • Billy Oneale

I posted some pictures of some of my new GEC knives at the Great Eastern Group. It's show time with out much to tell.
  • Stan T

Chris, Thanks for the comments and checking out my knives. I like when you prompt me to your page as I love looking at your photos. Lots of great stuff. I also really like your blogs. Thanks for the great contributions to the site. It sure helps the rest of us learn and enjoy.
  • Frank Spierings
