And Then There Was One!

Rough Rider produced a series of twelve knives called the Rifleman Series.  Each knife has brown gunstock bone scales.  The shield is a Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, often referred to as "The Gun That Won The West".  Each knife comes with a collector's tin and cardboard sleeve, both of which have pictures of a '73 Winchester on them.  One reason I really like this series is because I have a Model 1873 Winchester rifle.  It was manufactured in 1891.

I have been able to acquire eleven of the twelve knives.  It is amazing to me that I have been unable to locate one of the most common if not THE most common pattern, the RR705 Trapper.  If anyone has one or knows who has one, please let me know. I would definitely want to buy it.

The knives appear in the picture in this order.

Left Side, Top to Bottom:

RR702  Canoe

RR703  Muskrat

RR704  Copperhead

RR705  (Empty Space)

RR706  Sowbelly

RR707  Congress

Right Side, Top to Bottom:

RR708  Large Stockman

RR709  Stockman

RR710  Folding Hunter

RR711  Large Toothpick

RR712  Gunstock

RR713  Six Blade Stockman

I call this the "Missing Knife Formation"

That is a great collection! Well except for that trapper. We will track it down eventually!

I sure hope so.  It would be a shame to get so close and not be able to complete the series.  I will definitely keep looking.

Did you see they made two more models in the rifleman series? They are in red smooth bone. I just ordered them. One is a trapper and one is a large toothpick
