About Me
I’m was born and bread in the suburbs of Chicago. Born the year The Monsters of the Midway with Walter Payton & The Refrigerator Perry won the Super Bowl then got to witness Black Jesus AKA Micheal Jordan in person countless times in all his glory strike fear into opposing teams at the old Chicago Stadium for the 1st 3peat and then the United Center with that new car smell for the 2nd 3peat. I also lived through the embarrassment of having the Cubs be one of our baseball teams. I became the black sheep of my family when my best friend’s dad got season tickets for the White Sox when we were in 1st grade and I spent the next decade going to 30+ Sox games every year.

BUT my family hails from Arkansas. Me and my brother are the 1st in our family not to have a southern Accent. We still own about 100 acres of forest land right along the Ouachita River in Arkansas that’s been in our family since the mid 1800s. We’ve intentionally kept it completely undeveloped with a few small hunting cabins that have no electricity, are heated by wood fire stoves, and the the water is pumped up from a natural well. Our family has been offered and turned down a small fortune for the timber rights repeatedly long before I was ever born. We’ve been hunting and fishing on that land for give or take about 150 years or roughly 6 generations of my family.

So I may not live anywhere near what one might call the great outdoors, although Michigan isn’t too far away, but I was raised spending every summer right along the Ouachita River developing my penchant for anything related to the outdoors including my collection of sharp objects.
