3 dimensional pivot point on sharpening tool.

I have made a new attachment to my sharpening tool Chef. The name is EdgePal Rail.The rail have a sled and the pivot point are fasten on the sled - and this make makes that the pivot point can be moves from side to side. Chef it self can move the pivot point forward and back, and up or down. "When you like to have a smooth surface on wood you use finer and finer sand paper, and you can feel with your hand how smooth the surface are. Sharpening edges is done after the same principle - but it is impossible to feel how smooth the edge are…"

"I have used microskope sins the sixties when I study edges. It is a good way to understand grinding and different grits, it is really helpful and K recomend it. There is also a but. You start with a loupe and you will se that the smoth edge is not…"
