Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This year iKnifeCollector is able to offer you a J.Mutz Custom.

Thanks to everyone that helped this decision happen.

Confirmed price is $112.00 plus shipping.

Payment is due no later than August 1, 2013

The body and bolsters are milled 416 the blade is 154CPM, with a 1/2 stop.  It is 3 5/8 closed and it is a Stag Cut Red Bone. Because this would be custom we could not order any more than 50 knives and his commitment is that he could deliver in September (maybe sooner but that a lot to get made in a short time).  There will be an iKC certificate with each knife signed by me.

45 of the 50 have been committed so there are only a few available.  Right now we will offer one per member.  For those of you wishing a second I have you on the list if there are still some available

I just had to share with you the warranty info on Jeff's page

It has a complete lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship. Any malfunction due to materials or craftsmanship under normal using conditions will be repaired for free. You can ship your product to the address found on this website but please contact us first so we know to watch for your returned item.

The "Catch" - Yes, sorry folks but we have a loophole to our warranty. The "lifetime" in "lifetime warranty" means Jeff's lifetime. Sorry but unfortunately when Jeff takes up residence at Boot Hill there will be no one to repair your product for free. Jeff's son Dylon is going to college and has no interest in continuing Jeff's business. But Jeff hopes to be able to warranty your products for many years to come!

Revisit? Are we giving up the hope for the Mutz knife then?

Let's hold out for a little longer and see what happends.

do we know if he ever came..chatted..

Well that is fantastic. Saves me a trip, I would not have been personable under the circumstances that might have spurred my visit. But, if he goes incommunicado again, we cut bait. These people have have waited long enough.

I spoke with Jeff today and he says he WILL be in this discussion tonight, I have let him know I want knives this week.  He assures me they are done.  Lets give him the last opportunity to be straight forward with us

I am with Jeff folks. I hope there is no crisis going on with Mr Mutz but I think we all deserve an honest explanation. To cut off communication is inexcusable as far as I am concerned. Everyone has been gracious about this an no one wants to put Jan in a bind but this is getting old. I could go on but I will spare you all. Lol

Peter, I was on till about 9:30 pm or 10:00 Central time and there was no post, no chat. I get notices of virtually everything that occurs on iKC and i have nothing. Now that's not to say there was no email to Jan directly, could have been,  but I received none.

Good point, Terry.  If local postal employees are helping themselves to Jeff's knives, then FedEx or UPS would be an excellent alternative, and all knives can ship at once, instead of parceling them out in 5s because of pilferage.

I have a UPS account if shipping is the hold up?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in shipping of your Forum Knives. I am happy to say that knives are being shipped as I type this. We'll get these knives into your hands ASAP. Thanks for being so patient and understanding. Jan and Steve have been very patient with me as I have been traveling a lot lately. I sincerely apologize for the delay. Hope you enjoy the knives as much as I enjoyed making them for you. Best wishes to you all and Happy Holidays.

Jeff Mutz
