NEW Flashlights from Elzetta

Sly Steel Sharktooth Knife

TOPS Knives 2014

So now that you have had a chance to see what is coming in 2014, what do you think?  Keep in mind that SHOT SHOW literally means "The Shooting,Hunting, Outdoors, Tradeshow"  Because of that we see fewer traditional and custom style knives released or reviewed at this show than we see at the Blade show.  For manufactures that focus on both you can find more on their home pages.  Ka Bar has taken the dogshead copper line to a new level

So, what did your favorite manufacture come out with?

Hey Jan,

Is the knife on the left a Scandi Bushcraft knife?  If so, what is the steel?

Thanks,

David

David,

I asked out Josh hill about this one since he was at the show and I know he loves a good Esee.  Here is his answer

I wish I could....no product information was on hand at the shot show :( I had it in my hand and it is sweet! Sheath is still to be determined as well. It is also still in prototype stage so things may change.

From what I can remember: it will be uncoated 1095 carbon Steel with a 3" blade scandi grind. Slightly angled handle for more leverage on a pull stroke......the knife reminded me a lot of the Tops Brothers of Bushcraft knife.

I ordered 75 of these blindly and they should be available by Blade Show.

This is all vague and haven't been given "for sure" specs on anything...but hey....its ESEE....it'll be sure to Kick Arse! Lol

Thanks Jan!   See you soon:)

Josh

I like this one by Lionsteel, the TM-1

IKBS pivot bearings, from a solid block of Micarta or Carbon Fibre with reversable pocketclip and Sleipner steel blade.

It sure looks sturdy, Alexander.

I think it looks great. They've done a few solid handle knives before (the TI-Spine and the SR-1 and SR-2 and SRA which were from Titanium and Aluminium) but this is the first time they're doing one without bias when it comes to carry and opening.

I'm thinking I may have to scrape the couch cussions for some change by the time these come out.

More from Todd Allan.  I think I need to see one of his knives in person!

LOL, Todd

I want to see one in person!  I do appreciate your letting me know where to go drool over them!  Will you be at Blade?
