Yes, I hope we can get some pics posted. they will be astronomically rare.

Don't forget the Four blood Moons - lst sighting of the Lunar Eclipse Blood Moon - peaks about 3am. Its real cloudy here, but I plan to get up and see if I can see it anyway. Looking forward to everyones pics and i understand you can also see it on line.

Cloudy here too Ken but the alarm is already set

Lunar Eclipse coverage and live streaming video from NASA starting at 1am. EDT with chat and live streaming video about

2am. EDT.  Lunar Eclipse coverage 1am-5am EDT at:   http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html#.U0ya715jpBU

for those interested in the discussion and video.

Thanks Walter. I have been awake now for over an hour. Its rainy and cloudy outside with a black sky. Nothing to see. But its exciting to be awake and apart of this great event thats starts The Four Blood Moons.

Best view here right now is TV and on line. Hope someone could get a live pic.

I couldn't get back to sleep so I just got up. TV said the Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) was blocked from view east of the Mississippi due to rain, snow, and clouds. But viewers had a good view out west. Wonder if any of our western IKC members was watching??

My view was blocked as well, although saw some filtered moonlight early last night. Will search for some pics out there and my bet is we find them!

I was able to get on NASA site and watch until about 3:05 am., then the Streaming Video Feeds were overwhelmed with viewers and I was knocked off.  I never did get back on at NASA but googled and kept trying different sites until I got on at a Griffith Observatory, I think, and watched until total eclipse was over.  My wife has been viewing a slide show on her iPad at USA Today and time lapse video (after 30 sec ad) from CNN at: http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/15/tech/innovation/blood-moon/
