Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I was at an auction yesterday and they sold a "Case" fixed blade stamped 440 STAINLESS. It's the second one I've seen in the last year. It had the actual Case name/logo without the XX & no country or Case number on it.

Obviously,  it wasn't a real Case and I was wondering if anyone had any information on when these started coming into the country?

Larry,  not sure but I know some diehard Case collectors and I'll see what I can find out. I'll let you know!

Hi Larry

Case did make a stainless fixed blade xx around 1950-1952 but nothing with the words 440 stainless on them to bad you don't have a picture of this knife . Look at Jim Sergants book  American Premium Guide to Knives & Razors . It's a big help with this kind of info .

Both of them were big "RAMBO" looking knives & although it wasn't stamped on the blade, I'd bet 20 bucks they came from China.
