Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I wanted to update all of the members who are interested in the knives we are having made for us by GEC. Derek, Bill and I have been talking about this since our first knife was in the process of being made and have decided that we are going to do a Eureka Jack. We wanted to, again do an older pattern and if you look at the picture that I have included you will see 3 Eureka's. From the left, a custom knife made for me by Ken Erickson an OVB marked knife that was made by New York Knife Co and a Carrier Cutlery salesman's knife. The knife that GEC will be making will have some items from each of these. I have always loved this pattern and since it is an old one thought that it would fit in nicely with what we are doing.

Derek will be updating our website as you knives are being made and you can go to the GEC site to see the knives also. We are hoping to have the knives done by the end of Feb or the begining of March.

We will be doing something special with these also like the wiping cloths being added to the first knife so keep checking the 2 sites for more info.

Thanks Mike & Derek, JBF Champlin & Sons Cutlery

Update, I got the blade openers this morning and took a quick picture of them, sorry for the glare. They look and work great!! I was told this morning that the knives should be shipped today and I will have them Thursday night and will start shipping them out Friday. Thanks again for the support and the patience. Mike

Here's that photo again, I made it a little smaller so it would show up in the post.

Wow look at that, a great picture and thanks for showing us!

I'm very pleased to let you know Michael put all the knives in the mail today.

It took great will power on his part, he strongly considered returning everyone's money and keeping them all for himself!!~

I have not seen them yet, but if Michael likes them I know I will.

Cant wait!  I will just bet Mike had a hard time with this set.  Has he sent you  a pic of them yet?

PS, I hope he mailed your first Derek LOL

It is going to be a long few days awaiting the postman!

Well it did not take the postman long to fulfill my wish!

Born many decades after the original handles were created and the dreams of JBF at that time had already moved on to designing knives for angels!  This newest offering is a blend of the old and the new.  The new is the dreams of the creators Derek and Mike, bringing to us a timeless beauty dressed in handles that prove....somethings just get better with time

I didn't know the US mail could move so fast, and over a weekend too!  What a great surprise was waiting for me today.  This was well worth the wait and I may wear out my camera on this pair alone.  Good job, Mike & Derek!

I got mine today as well, but I have not made any photos yet.
I'm very pleased that you guys like them!

GEC did a great job.

My hat is off to Mike for an outstanding design.

The match striker pull, the coping blade, the shield and the pattern were

all Mike's ideas.  Bill at GEC did a great job of blending them all together.

Rusty!  What fantastic pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
