Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I EDC a Case Mini Blackhorn.  It handles all my normal cutting chores just fine.  However it is just a plain black handled knife.  I have decided to buy a new Case knife to put in rotation with the Mini Blackhorn as a "Sunday go to meetin" knife.  The deed will be done when I am at SMKW in July.  I have some Case knives now that would be good for that purpose but they are special to me and I don't want to use them.

I am thinking the knife should be bone or stag.  I would like for everyone to suggest what would be a good knife for this purpose and their reasons.

Thanks in advance for everyone's suggestions.

Yep, those are special and an all time favorite is Silver Script, just a classy look.

The swayback jack is my sunday go to meeting knife.Come to think of it right now my main edc is a swayback gent.

You can't go wrong with a Sway Back.

Way to aim high!

I added a couple more, more down to earth. But the pearl IS nice.

Yes, the pearl is nice but that is more than I want to pay.  I have pretty much decided to go with bone.  I really appreciate everyone's suggestions.  They are helping me.  But I must say that right now I am leaning toward an amber jigged bone mini copperlock.

That's a good one Charles! You know how it is when a person asks for knife buying advice! LOL!

Hey, I am still enough of a rookie at this knife collecting game that I appreciate all the advice I can get.  I am glad that the people on this site care enough to offer help and advice.  I realize that people have differing views and opinions on things based on their own circumstances.  I like to listen to what other people have to say and apply whatever I can to my own situation.

The amber jigged is sweet!  My favorite in the copperheads was always the Carmel jigged Bone

Charles, I have a Case copper lock in the full size. I think it's a little over 4" closed. It has a thin blade that is well suited for cutting or slashing. I really like it, the one I have is in stag, I made a great deal on it, price wise. I see some knives with amber bone that are prettier than those with stag. Stag has a wide volume of different grades, some are a lot nicer than others. Jigged bone on the other hand is pretty equal in all of it's handles. Good luck with it, please be sure to post us a picture, when you finally get it.

Well everyone, I made my decision.  I am going to get a Case Amber Jigged Bone Mini Copperlock.  I am going to have my initials engraved on the bolster.  Since this knife will be considered part of my collection in addition to carrying and using it some, I am going to get a walnut knife box with the Case logo and my name on it to store it in when not carrying it.  The knife box will stay on the dresser next to my wife's jewelry box.  The total cost from xxCutlery for the knife, the box, and the engraving will be $79.66.

Again I want to thank everyone for their posts.  They were a help and I enjoyed reading the recommendations and the reasons behind them.
