Event Description

I never imagined creating the magazine THE PASSION OF KNIVES in 1988 for 22 years the best craftsmen in the world cutlers have presented their works in my columns. Whether Meilleur Ouvrier de France: Robert Henri Viallon or Beillonnet, treasures Japanese Soshui Takeda, Hidetoshi Nakayama or master blacksmiths U.S.: Hank Knickemeyer Scott Slobodian, they, along with Ron Lake, Michael Walker, Bob Loveless, Schmith to speak only of Americans were published in our magazine.

Faced with the growing demand, it was essential that I created to complement this magazine on 1 stEuropean exhibition worthy of the name of cutlery art and collectibles. It is logical that the SICAC - International Exhibition of Art and Cutlery Collection - was born in 1989. In 22 years, while those with cutler in the world have one day been present in Paris.

Our aim is to offer the French public a minimum of 50% of French cutlers cutlers associated with the best foreign they are European, South African, Canadian, Japanese or American.
