The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Hi everyone, need a little guidance in some knives I've gotten. Long story short, Grandpa passed years ago, when cleaning out I got some items and now looking at them. I just want more information on what exactly I have, how to store and care, and possibly repair. I'm not sure where to post it to or what I should do with them.
I have a MSA gladstone stamped knife with a ?stag handle?, a deer hoof folding knife with a corkscrew. There is also a marbles or MSA (cant recall at the moment) stamped folding knife with a ivory-ish handle, that is the worst for wear.
I've looked online and local library but struggle to date and identify accurately. Hopefully I can gain help here... previous sites haven't panned out.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Heya Dave...
Pictures. They are your friend for things like this. Any and all markings on the knife, both handle and blade, shots of both sides of the knife, sheaths or pouches as well. And if they come with any boxes or paperwork. These are the key to getting help identifying knives. :) As clear as possible. If you can post up some pics (using the 2nd little box on the left in the field where you would write your reply) and we can see what we can do!
Okay...here's a promising start for you...Marbles M.S.A. 7-inch Ideal Hunting Knife

You did some great shots there, by the way, Dave!
HERE is some more Marbles info. Looks like it came from a great site! :)
You may have a few bucks there in that knife. Found one on Ebay too.
Aaaand...HERE is a little bit more I found. Hope it helps, Dave.
Oh...Marbles and M.S.A (Marbles Safety Axe) are the same beast. They changed to Marbles many many years ago.
Wowzers! So I've discovered that the different red and black rubber spacers on the handle will help date it too. There a reference book at city library I found, but need to set up time to drive in and look it up. Thanks for your help steve! I'll take pictures of the other knives too and post later this week-ish
