I sent your picture to Herman Williams. He said he had seen others like it but didn't know anything about the English Steel. If you don't mind me using your picture, I'll  post it on another site.

Yes I talked with Rich Langston about the box and got about the same answere. My question for the most part is it newer or older that the other boxes that say "Finest Cutlery Crucible Steel" My guess would be that its older but who knows. Seems we could find out by the model number on the box but I'm not having much luck with that. If this box would have contained switchblades I am sure Rich would have known and could have dated it better so I dont think it contained switchblades.
