I'm hoping someone here has seen this knife or would be willing to sell it.
This was my husband's very first knife when he was a boy, and it triggered his love for knifes to this day.
Unfortunately, this was stolen with a few others. This knife was a very important memory he had with his father that is no longer with us.
I figured the place to ask would be the collector community, I'm sure you all have/had a knife that holds a special place with you.
What I know,
Smith & Wesson S.W.A.T. First Millennium Run
Old Faithful, Yellowstone Scrimshaw Pocket Knife
J.J. Smith III
It's terrible losing something with such sentimental value, Amber. Unless a member, here, has one of suggest that you enter a search on the eBay and keep an eye on it. There seems to be a lot of Yellowstone scrimshaws, but I haven't seen an Old Faithful version.
I certainly wish you and your husband good luck in the search.

Interesting - I just had a similar discussion regarding another S&W knife. I echo J.J.'s response in that it's not hard to find an S&W S.W.A.T. First Millennium knife...but it's crazy hard to find one like you are looking for.
While it's not impossible, it will take time and perseverance. I have no doubt the gang here will keep an eye out for such a piece - we all love to do that sort of thing.
Also - help us help you by keeping this thread alive. Simple updates every month or so of locations and links that you may have searched will keep us all focused, reminded, and may spark some additional ideas from other members.
