The first thing that needs to happen is to determine exactly which knife this is.
The sheath is certainly a modern remake though - no question there. The knife itself has certainly been cleaned (but that does not mean a FAKE). They used a carbon steel for the blade and all hardware. Even meticulously maintained and unused, the steel would have darkened a bit. The leather would have also darkened a bit. That being said, it does look like it was cleaned by someone who did not over clean/buff the knife (I have seen a LOT of knives over cleaned/buffed). The materials of the knife are in extremely nice shape.
If you know the history of the knife, or the price your paid for it... The would figure in to the real/fake question. So far, I have not heard of Robeson being a target for counterfeiters. They are wanting to make money at their unethical endeavors. The excellent condition of the knife would have me questioning its authenticy though. Make me look closer at everything. Most knives of this era (the script 'Shureedge' indicates pre 1940) are in far less pristine condition. If the sheath was remade, to me that would indicate that the sheath was in poor condition. With the knife being so nice, I would have expected the sheath to have been just as nice. So why was the sheath replaced?
I believe Queen knives did a fairly brief reintroduction of the Shureedge line but the stampings were all block letters. I think.
