I'm glad you guys are liking the lineup of knives my wife is putting out there. I'm really proud of her and what direction she has taken the line.

Moose hunting ? Did I hear someone say "Moose Hunting". I missed out on their Moose pattern, I had too many things going on, at the time of it's release. GEC has a planned knife production schedule, that might help here.

I think Courtney likes to surprise everyone. Sorry I know you still can get one.

    Ryan,

Nice to know the family is with Courtney on this venture, she is doing a great job of choosing patterns and materials

  • Jon Salmon

Hello Indian - Wow that is BEAUTIFUL !!  May I inquire as to where you obtained that AWESOME sheath that the knife is laying on? I'd really like to know about the craftsman who made that !! Thanks - Jon Salmon

  • Indian

Just to let everyone Know ...about some of the leather work...such as sheaths. It is my Bro Dave Taylor who has done them. He is True Craftsman and if you want one...just let him know that Indian sent you...he can curse me later....lol

  • Paul Ring

Ron, I'm having a hard time here....lol Tuna Valley, Moose gets my highest rating for knives, "How Sweet It Is!"........

  • Paul Ring

It's the dawning of a new era with Queen Cutlery and Tuna Cutlery under the guidance and leadership of the Daniels family! Thank you for investing your lives into the cutlery industry!
    Paul
  • Carl Bradshaw

I know this isn't quite the same Tuna Valley, but this is the only one I have.  1906 Tuna Valley (Case Bros) pearl ladies knife. Roughly 600 produced.

  • Jan Carter

WOW, Carl that is one sweet one though!

  • Ron Cooper

Wow! There's some serious knife porn on this page! That pearl/abalone Whittler is obscene, as are those Moose patterns!

Carl, your old school Tuna's are like the cherry on top of these super sweet cutlery confections!

This should leave no doubt as to why they call Ron the Big Tuna!

  • Courtney Daniels

Wow, is right! Thank you Carl for sharing that picture of that knife. It's a beauty. And Paul, Thank you for those kind words of the Daniels Family in the knife industry.

You should be seeing the next Tuna Valley pattern right around the end of this month. Thank you again for all the followers and I hope to see as many of you who can make it up in Titusville for the Queen show in a few weeks.

  • Jan Carter

Getting close to the end of the month, wonder what beauty is in the works for us this time?

  • Carl Bradshaw

Courtney, I would like to suggest you submit a Tuna Valley, pearl handled, baby doctor's knife pattern for the NKCA youth knife for 2014.  I am a youth knife collector, and they have never had a doctor pattern, a pearl handle, or a Tuna Valley knife before.  It would be awesome, and very unique.  :)

    Looks great, Ron.

  • Courtney Daniels

Carl Bradshaw, that is a great suggestion. I had never thought about a club knife before. I am going to look into it. Thanks!

Next Tuna Valley pattern will be out by the end of August... it's been awhile since a new pattern has come out due to some machinery and over load at Queen. Also, the new Oiseau Metal Arts knife will be out by the end of the month as well. Was not planned this way just the way it ended up.

A beautiful new Tuna is now swimming at a dealer a dealer near you!!!!

  • Bill Fletcher

My, my that is a "shore" enough beauty!  LOL

  • Jan Carter

The Coke Bottles are looking good!!!  I hear they are available

  • Courtney Daniels

Yes, I have recently released the newest Ivory knife in the Sway Belly Trapper. Also, the large Coke Bottle in Burnt and Amber Stag. Check the web page at www.danielsfamilyknives.com.

I will be attending the Easton, PA show this coming weekend September 28th and 29th. I am looking forward to showing these new patterns off and hopefully see you there.
  • Carl Bradshaw

Awesome looking knives Courtney.  I'll be at the Lehigh show this weekend, I'll be sure to come see the knives in person.

  • Jan Carter

Thanks Courtney, we will have a few members at that show.  I hope they come by to see you and the newest additiopns to the Tuna Valley Line

  • Carl Bradshaw

Pictures don't do them justice, I saw them in person this past weekend at the LeHigh Valley knife show.  Very high quality, no one can match a Tuna Valley knife unless it is custom made.

  • Jan Carter

    Carl,

I am hoping there will be one at Rep Weekend for me to see too!

  • Courtney Daniels

Next appearance will be at Smoky Mountain Knife Works for Rep weekend. Which is October 11th and 12th. I hope to see everyone there.

Enjoyed getting to see a few of you last weekend at the Easton, PA show. Which turned out to be a good show.
  • Courtney Daniels

Rep Weekend at SMKW went well. I got to talk to numerous people and even got to put a face with some of the IKC followers. Which is always nice to meet someone in person. I am currently working on a schedule for 2014 knives... any suggestions on patterns?

  • Bill Fletcher

As to new ideas for 2014, I'm very partial to single blade hawkbill and sheepfoot cotton sampler knives.  Queen Cutlery has produced many examples of both in the past; however, I know the special magic of the Tuna Valley Cutlery style would make for product with knockout demand.

  • Carl Bradshaw

I like the more unique patterns and handles.  That recent sowbelly with ivory was killer!  I'd like to see a pearl handle 2 blade toothpick with a fish scaler blade.  Or a big barlow with a razor blade with real abalone handles.

And again, I wanted to *hint hint* to submit a pearl baby doc pattern for the 2014 NKCA Youth knife.  That would be the prize of my collection.  :)

    Charles Sample

I collect fish knives so that two blade toothpick with a scaler blade that Carl mentioned would be a fish knife for my collection!

  • Jan Carter

Wow some great pattern ideas coming in here...anyone else?

  • Jan Carter

You have to admit, this lady knows her way around a knife!

Proud of you Ms Courtney, not everyone takes it to this level

  • Jan Carter

    Have you seen it  !!!!!???!!!!!!!

  • Jan Carter

  • Randall Vaughn

Been looking at the Tadpole hard after the holidays I need to get one of these

  • Max McGruder

I agree that sure is a sweetie!
  • David Selph

    Great guys!

  • Jan Carter

I just have to share this one.  While checking my regular haunts to see what is out there, I ran across a one of a kind beauty.

This Tuna Valley Swell Center Moose is a special knife.  Special because it's a PROTOTYPE, and in the Tuna Valley world just one PROTOTYPE is issued and Special because it comes from the Tuna Valley Co-Founder, David Mullins personal collection.  Production on the Tina Valley Proto's is limited to ONE!!!

    Just absolutely a beautiful knife!

  • Carl Bradshaw

Wow, thanks for posting that Jan, that is an awesome one.

  • Billy Oneale

OH Wow, SWEET! And that's all all I can say about that one.
  • Courtney Daniels

Here are some production shots of the ~NEW~ Oiseau Metal Arts Tadpole being made.

  • Max McGruder

Looks fantastic, really enjoyed the pics! Thanks!

  • Carl Bradshaw

Thanks for the pictures, very cool.

  • Ron Cooper

    Courtney,

Those pictures really made me appreciate just how labor intensive and delicate the work is that goes into making JUST ONE knife! It certainly puts price into its proper perspective.

    Thanks!
