Just uploaded some photo of work I am doing-take a look at my page! I am not getting how to invite folks into my page-the help page is not helping? Can someone explain this part to me.
Hi Paul, am a new member and make Khukuri Blades for a living. Your blades are fantastic, beautifully crafted. Specially with the black blade. How is it actually done? If its your trade mark, will understand not sharing.
["Hello, I am a new knife maker and would like anybodys opnion on the best belt grinder to use for an all around machine. Thanks Vic"]
Hi Vic, there's a father and son team in South Africa that make some realy nice machines. Check out their site: www.herbst.co.za. Good luck, Stefan Diedericks
It's forged 52100 which is a little tough to work with but I like it. It has a grind that Ed Fowler calls the "Improved Michael Price" grind, I have since etched it with my name and mark. It's my #10 and thanks go out to Ed Fowler who I learned most of my forging and heat treating techniques from.
Just finished this one. J. R. Reeves Fighter, forged 5160 steel, 416 stainless guard, stainless and silicon bronze ferrule, Desert Ironwood handle with mosiac pins. 8 inch blade
Todd-
I'd like to keep her, as with all my knives, but then there's not fun in making knives and not share them with others and where will I keep them all, so I will probably sell her.
Hey everybody, haven't had time to get on here to much, been working on alot of knives. Made my first dress Bowie, Blade is forged 5160, brass guard and wedding band , and dyed California Buckeye. All fileworked. I usually make hunters and skinners but this was so much fun to make I have more in the works.

Have things SLOWED down for you other makers? Have you noticed much diff in your sales? I know there are a lot of folks out there hurting now days. Hope it gets better soon.
