It was my dad's wartime knife.

I've also got his issue Camillus Pilots knife that he broke the pommel off of escaping from a bad carrier landing.

Here are a couple of photos that I also included in my photos.  There is a carbon steel album that I will be adding to in the next few days...

Here are a few larger knives that I am am fairly sure were issued to our military servicemen during WWII.
The top is a 7-1/4" variant of the EGW (Ezra G. Waterman) knife. Stacked leather disc handle, no saw-back, and a triangle shaped notch behind the edge of the blade.
The middle blade is RCC (Robeson Cutlery Co.) Mark II knife. 7" blade, and stacked leather disc handle. The Mark II design later was informally known as a KA-BAR.
The bottom is the Cattaraugus 225Q. The blade is 6" long and the knife also has a stacked leather handle. The pommel has three layers of steel to secure the handle in place.

Here are a couple Mark I knives. These were obviously issued before the Mark IIs. The Mark Is were found to be not robust enough for some uses, which prompted the re-design to the Mark II.

The Right Hand knife is a Robeson ShurEdge No20. 5-1/8" Blade, stacked leather disc handle.
The Left Hand knife is a PAL RH35 USN Mark I. 4-3/4: blade, stacked leather handle with plastic spacers. Below the photo of the full knives I flipped the knives and took a photo of the marking on the other side of the ricasso.
