Ahh Kershaw Group.  I'm really glad to be here.  I kinda like Blurs and I'm trying to get all the variations.  Let me know if you have one in Blue Grey or Purple to help me complete the collection!

  • Patrik Ilijev

Awesome collection Jim. I like the Blur currently have just one hope to get more soon.

  • Glenn Banks

The blur looks like a very nice blade-looks great in red

  • Glenn Banks

and thanks for welcoming me into the group!

  • Patrik Ilijev

Yes the blur is a nice knife and they have updated the handle inserts on the old red version they used something like skateboarder take aggressive like sandpaper on the new one they are using something like a texturised rubber.

  • Patrik Ilijev

Hire are my 3 last purchased kershaw knives.

    Selectfire

     Zing

    Chill

  • Glenn Banks

Beautiful knives Patrik-that selectfire is really eye catching.

  • Patrik Ilijev

Hi Glen it is a nice knife for the money you can find it easy HW stores or general stores like Walmart it comes in black or blue handles only zytel (FRN) with plane or partial serrated blade   you have 4 different black Teflon coated bits you can swap the pocket clip on the left or right side only.

  • Glenn Banks

It's amazing how much Knife you can get for the money these days-thanks for the info Patric!

  • Glenn Banks

The new grip inserts for the Blur should be easier on the pockets maybe? I have the Clash and the storm 2-Great knives for EDC or around the house

  • Amy Martin

I have a set of knives that were my grandfathers. I am trying to find the current value for these and to contact anyone that might be interested in them. Below are some pictures of the knives and an email from an employee form Kershaw about the knives.

    Amy,

It looks like you have a nice set of vintage Kershaw knives! If I didn't already have a couple sets (none like yours) I'd want to scrape together the money to buy them from you immediately! However, in the past 3 years, I've not seen a set like this sell for more than $1,000 (e.g. on ebay or various knife auction/reseller websites), so it seems to me like the Kershaw employee's estimates may be a bit "optimistic." A little bit more information for you: the 2120 is called "Macho," the 2110 "Honcho", and 2105 "Little Stud."

  • Jim Wilson

I'm guessing at least a Leek, but were they specific variations, like the Rainbow (VIB) or Pink Leek or anything?

  • Patrik Ilijev

    Hey Friends!!

    Here is my recent acquisition.

The small but capable EDC Kershaw Chive.

  • Patrik Ilijev

Hi Steve the knife is amazing for what it is so small but robust and a perfect cutter. I have the SS Leek now I just need the scallion and shallot and I have a complete set. Those man and woman at Kershaw they now what they doing that I can tell you love the product can wait to order some more.

  • Jan Carter

    Patrick,

I LOVE MY CHIVE!   Sweet size to carry and useful.  Its amazing what a useful knife  it is for its size.

  • Jim Wilson

Hey Patrik.  You know Kershaw is making a SS Zing (1735SS) right?  You'll need to add that to your SS list too!

  • Patrik Ilijev

Yes I have the regular zing and I will buy me a SS version as soon as it will be for a reasonable price :)

So I read about this today and wanted to ask a question:

    Greener Packaging
We know over-packaging is a key
    environmental concern. Kershaw works
to be as sustainable as possible—while
still protecting our products to ensure
they reach our customers in perfect
    condition. For example, Kershaw
    recently switched to all-recycled
    shipping boxes. Our packing material
is recyclable, as are our cardboard knife
    boxes and plastic “clamshell” packing.

Does it help bring folks to Kershaw or does it just bring added loyalty to the brand.  Myself I think it is fantastic

  • Jim Wilson

Hey Steve.  There is a Kershaw Groove Tanto that actually has grooves all down the blade and there is a tanto Zing with no grooves.  Pic will definitely help, but just putting that out there.

  • Jim Wilson

I borrowed this pic from another forum.  If the owner recognizes it and wants me to delete it, just ask.  In the meantime, take a look and see if the one you want is in there.  Both the Groove and Zing are there.

  • Jan Carter

Is anyone out there able to help Jim find some older models he is looking for?

The Spirit of Steel show was a bunch of fun and we saw some very nice knives

  • Patrik Ilijev

My new SS Zing is here an it is nice I do like it a lot, I also bought  the Hinderer Cryo 1.

  • Billy Oneale

I seen the Hinderer Cryo 1 on Tactical knives show that SMKW does. I almost bought one. That one looks nice, Patrik. Let me know what you think of it. I have a Zing in an orange handle, but I have never carried it.
  • Patrik Ilijev

The Cryo will be sold I will wait for the Cryo 2 the Cryo 1 is just to bulky and small for my taste but it is a very nice knife I wanted to try it and I'm not disappointed plus it is a licensed Rick Hinderer design. If you don't know witch one to pick I would recommend the SS Zing it is also assisted and it is slimmer and lighter the only down side is tat funny pocket clip but you can have it all right ?

Anyone have a A100 multi tool for sale? This is one Kershaw that I have not been able to get a hold of. eBay wants too much, doesn't need to be perfect...
  • Matt Davidson

Handy little chart I put together comparing the relative sizes of the popular Kershaw folders!
