Gerald,   I would have really enjoyed meeting you.  Hopefully  we can in 2014.  Thank you for posting your pics.  I liked looking at them and even though I was there ,  they really helped fill in some of the things that I missed.  For certain,  I will make a point to see the exhibitors tent if I am able to make it to Bradford again.  Were the collection displays set up on both days or only Friday?   For certain the trip was a real blast!!!   Best regards,  Bill

Bill did you say Pearl Cheetah? WOW!!  What a beautiful swing blade!  I could see me deep in the woods of Idaho searching for the elusive Bigfoot armed with this beauty.....and a .44 magnum revolver.

Bill great report and pics.  I guess I will have to make this event sometime...after I hit the lottery as I would buy up all of the swing blades.  In fact they would find me in the parking lot....crushed flat.  The local paper would have the headline, "Bazaar Death, Man Crushed By A Ton of Case Knives".

Thanks for posting all of that.  I am so glad the trip was great for you all.  I applaud Case for both the Ride for Cancer and the Veterans special knives at the breakfast.  That is the sign of company that is reaching out to the collecting community and paying forward!  God Bless them!!

Jan I don't think Case has anything to do with the Ride for Cancer. Here's a link to the Charity the money goes to. The CCC Forum group help a silent auction at our dinner and raised $3342.

OK, those folks sure timed that well then.  You good folks representing CCC did a great job at the dinner by raising that much (sounds of applause)

One of the best things about IKC and other knife clubs and forums is interacting with good folks.  They seem naturally drawn to collecting, talking and learning about knives.  I hope next time to attend on Friday also since there are many good things like the Auction and dinner that occur then.  I did not know how the Auction money was utilized and its purpose.  The news is good, but not surprising  considering the caliber of the People and Company involved.  One of the other ways that Case contributes to the Charity Run (and the part that led to my confusion) is that the Case Zippo Museum is listed in the Reunion Brochure as the registration site for the run.  Just another example of how Case helps! 

I've been asked and really do not know for certain when the next Collectors Reunion will be held.  I assumed that is would be in 2014,  since prior to the 2012 meet, a Reunion occurred in July 2010.  Does any one have a good line on the next reunion?   Thanks.

I do know that typically it is every other year.  Historically it has been Zippo one year and Case the next, rotating respectively. 

My guess is you guys know Zippo owns Case knives.

Bill, George Duke the owner made that plain I believe Friday night. He said Zippo's And Case Knives would always be made in Bradford, Pa. USA.

Jan they have the Motorcycle rally at the same time I know every 2 years. They meet downtown and ride around the city. They were expecting 600 riders this year, but I think they fell a little short because of the rain.

Just wondering if you know.  Since Tom has retired, who is doing the President Tour shows this year?  I have been keeping up the Events Calendar and was wondering if I should be listing who will be there. 

Good question Jan. The answer is I don't know for sure. Greg Booth is taking over right now and I know he will be at the SHC doins in Sept. but I don't know yet who will be at the other two events. SHC web site has Greg listed as going to be in Branson on Aug. 4.

I love the trapper design too.  I am still EDC my Case Trapper-Clip.  I just gravitate to this knife.  It has no patina to speak of after three months of
EDC and much use.

I like the tiny trappers but the full size is a bit big for me to EDC.  I do like the dark blue one VERY much

Noticed today that the cut off for receipt of orders of Case Collector Club Annual Club knife is August 3.   The 2012 knives are real lookers.

Hi Jan,  I can see that my brain was not engaged when I  posted the Case notice.  Maria received the flyer about the Club Knife  today.  I dutifully  copied the deadline and sent it out so that  folks would  have a chance to order.   And, :-)  in fact it was not until I saw your reply, that I noticed  the retroactive expired  deadline!  Dooh!!!  Because it comes today doesn't always mean it arrived from it's journey in a timely manner.  Apologies and best regards

One question I can ask off the bat. Does anyone have any info about a Case IV254 D knife? I'm trying to find out if it does have real ivory handles. Both blades are made of damascus steel. Also, there is no Case shield on the handle. Will post some pics as soon as I can get a hold of a camera at home.

If the knife is a Case Trapper and has two different blade material types, the scales or handles are mastodon ivory.  I believe they were made around 1998 with 500 made.

This one has both blades made of the same type of steel, damascus.

Is there a blade etch?  I also know of the 1998 with one Damascus and one Stainless.  It is indeed mastodon ivory but I am not aware of one with both blades being damascus so I cant wait to see the pics.

@Jan Carter - no, there wasn't any blade etches. There wasn't any markings, other than the tang stamps.

Paul after some research I found your knife and it is Elephant Ivory.

So it appears that the knife in question does indeed have an ivory handle. I emailed Case about it, and they got back to me with the info. This was offered to CCC members in 1992. Only 174 were produced. :-))
