Beautiful Cheetahs Max!!! But that Halloween one scares me.....there's no one driving!

Oh yes, I need some Cheetahs. I remember back in the days of old, guys used to talk about the Case Cheetah in hushed tones. LOL! But I DO need some.

  • Lee Smith

    Here is my other one.

Okay, there's a knife I've been wanting for a long time. The Baby Butterbean.  But, I be afeared.  I be afeard that if I get one I'll go bananas over it and want to collect them and use them. Then what, I ask you. Will I be able to go from three blades to two again? Will the skies darken and Frogs drop on my head? Will my Stockman knife brothers beat me up? Will Ron stop calling me Mr. 33 and start calling me Mr. Bean?   Can I collect Baby Butterbeans and Canoes AND Stockmans without them fighting??? Do I need a special permit? Why is collecting so emotionally stressful? Where's my meds.........

  • Clint Thompson

    Craig....

Dark and scary times for sure.  Me....I say go for it and damn the torpedoes....full speed ahead.  Mr. Bean is a good handle as well as Mr. 33.

Looks GREAT Lee!! There's something about good quality pearl.

Howard, that isn't my picture, but I use Renaissance Wax on all of my knives and it shines them up like that.

The time has come. The question is, will I buy some Canoes, and even change my EDC to a Baby Butterbean (!!!) and live to tell about it? Stay tuned to the next chapter in "Craig's Fantastic Knife Adventure"

  • Howard P Reynolds

Hahahaha.  Craig, I have been carrying a Butterbean in my pocket for years, and sometimes a Canoe.  You'll be fine!  Just don't buy em all up, I want to get a few more.

Well Howard, I did it. Should I get a boat trailer now???

  • Howard P Reynolds

Nah.  You can fit your home-made birch bark canoe [you made in honor of this big leap] on the roof rack of whatever you're drivin, which I figger to be 4WD of some kind or of several kinds.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

LOL! No 4WD! Chevy HHR. It has a big roof though.

  • Howard P Reynolds

Somethin is amis!  You is named for two guns, Henry and "Krag".  A 4WD has to be around somewheres, even a lowly Dodge.  Long guns, by law ( I think in some "rural" states), has to be in rifle racks up there on the back glass of a truck.

Okay, Case fans.  Anybody heard anything about the Case Silver Eagle Commemorative Set (Silver Eagle coin and Canoe) for this year?  Haven't looked around yet this week, but the usual places haven't had anything posted.  Coulda missed it, though.

I don't remember seeing anything so far.

  • Howard P Reynolds

What happened to Case knives at Wesson Ace Hardware, MS. [I'm in PA so I can't go check].  Checked for the 2013 Silver Eagle set and the whole Case line is GONE!  They may not have been a Master Dealer, but they had good prices and great service.  They had Case knives as near as a couple weeks ago, but tonight the line is gone.

Ken, those are some rare beauties and real nice to look at!

  • Max McGruder

    Howard,

from what I've gathered on the Case Forum, Case and Wesson Ace have parted ways. Seems no one knows why and can't seem to get an answer, just that Case broke it off with Wesson Ace.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Thanks Max - I wonder how many of those Centennial Knives case made in Camper pattern?? I bought that one from an old time Case Collector.

  • Howard P Reynolds

Thanks, Max.  I was having trouble believing that W.R. Case was not a winner for Wesson Ace.  But, if that was the case, one wonders what would cause a rift like that - to lose a money maker for them (Wesson Ace). And, on the Case side, I don't know if you can have too many dealers - i.e. it's costing them shelf space in MS, and Internet space everywhere.

  • Howard P Reynolds

Damm, Ken.  Nice campers.  Never had a Case Camp knife - cheap imitation.  No Case dealers close by when I was a kid.  Too late now, Victorinox Camp, etc. knives came to the U.S. and then Leatherman done invented a multi-tool, long since, and I went thataway.

  • Max McGruder

Howard, it's caused quite a commotion on the Case Forum. Wesson Ace had many faithful customers that aren't happy and I'm sure it's a large void for many that have done business with Wesson Ace.

Some beautiful Case knives there Ken!!

    Craig Henry

Howard, Case can not legally comment on the situation one way or the other. Lets just say, not all customers were happy (from what I've heard). Maybe Case received too many complaints? Regardless, that type of thing happens all the time in all kinds of businesses. A company drops a dealer for whatever reason. AND, sometimes dealers will drop a certain brand for no reason and no one mentions that. I'm not friends with that dealer so I have no emotional attachment. But I still don't think I'd be upset over a business decision.

I sure hope we're not going to get bogged down with business world politics here like on other forums. I hate that!
