  • Max McGruder

That works, it's a team effort!

That would be the ONLY way I could afford one of those Beauties!

  • Paul Ring

Cass just told me she's getting another bonus at work in October. She said she would buy a few knives for me!! Yay! BUT, she has a say in what they are. Hmmm.......

  • Howard P Reynolds

    Craig Henry

    LOL!

I'm sure it won't be Ginsu knives. I'm pretty sure. You don't think............

  • Lee Smith

We already have all the Case kitchen knives Lee. And an old set of Case steak knives. She likes my recent switch to Trappers, so I have a feeling it will be Trappers.

There's a lot of bad stuff out. It just really worries me that it will burn a new collector and they stop collecting.

  • Lee Smith

Picked these up last weekend. Tony was nice enough to sign both of them. The wilfred works is number 50 of 50 made. I think I got pretty lucky.

  • Paul Ring

The Wilfred Works knife is the prettiest knife I've seen in a ling time. The black and gold go together so good!
  • Lee Smith

There where 3 left when we got up there. My dad bought one and I got one. lol

  • Paul Ring

    Congratulation Lee!
  • Max McGruder

Congrats Lee! You got a couple of lookers for sure and the Wilfred Works is supercool!

@TOBIAS ..i already know the exact seller of that FAKE CAMPER is... lets just say his ebay initials are D.D right?... i now most of the fakers on EBAY very well...what to look at is where most of them are all located...all within a few clics of each other... EVEN WORSE is this seller USE to sell real knives...

WELL MONEY HAS GOTTEN TIGHT SO .."HECK I KNOW THE RIGHT FOLKS...ILL JUST KEEP RIPPING EVERYONE OFF THAT HAS COME TO TRUST ME"

...even worse TOBIAS..i have seen this man actually get fought over on other sites...where folks that have been buying from him for years who wanted to stay in what i call "knife bliss"-this is  where you have bought 50 knives from the same seller and then after buying not one book or asking one question, then posts his knives and asks- and then i or someone else will say this and that and this is wrong, their mind explodes and would rather just stay ignorant- hence- "KNIFE BLISS"

...here is the thing... i have bought knives that are fakes for teaching tools and tools and take em out of circulation as well... you are right i would not spend 10$ on that knife... but if you really want to get involved ... let me know and i can show you what to do to really burn these fakers and cost ya nothing..but sme time...i am dedicated to stopping as much akes as i can...so would love some help??

i have taken it so far that i hhave had an ebayer post an auction directed to me..it went on and on aying i was wrong and that HIS customrs NEW what they were buying and i was calling HIS customrs STUOPID by contacting them and getting their knives retu7rned..this was bfore free postings so he asted money doing that LOLOLOL!... it was all in caps to...HE WAS SO MAD AND ITWAS SO FUN!!...im sorry but making fakes and selling them s real...YOU ARE A THIEF! end of story!   ....not prts knives..not knives that you foun and normlly you just selll anything...im talking about guys like DD...

... it was easier before but i found a way!... 2 other things.. with DD if you wanted to take knives out of circulation that were fake or worked you would have to BUY ALL OF HIS...everyone is fake...just keep looking at his auctions..once you find one thing wrong go to next knife..you will see. also he is not the only one t use a red background for fakes...you see RED background like that..RUN!

finally TOBIAS i dont share the list of fake ebayers out of resect for someone who sked me not to. but i will email it to you if you like. here is whats fun to Tobias if you want.. i have broken 30k in fake knife returns on ebay... its great cause it PO's the fakesters to know end!!!  long time ago someone taught me...." if you realy want to hurt the fakesters, hurt em where y9u can hurt them the most, their pockets!" and he was right... stopping fake knives is tradition... without the tradition eventuially you will have nothing but faks. rght now some fake CASE stamp are used so much... new collectors think they are the real ones and when they see a real stamp think that its wrong!.....not good!   thank you Tobias for caring!

also i want to point out that im sure even with how much i look that ,and especially with vintage i own..im sure at any given time 5-10% of my knives are worked or faked... most on this site and other sites as well... just the other nite i was realy looking over and older bone handled hawk i have... i could see where the bolsters had been switched so well that i just looked right over it even though i had bought it in hand... i actually found with a 10x glass...{when buying knives that are old folks use magnify} ..anyway after looking at tghis knife i have owned for about 10 years.... i could see that it had been worked... im suire if i pul out a drawer today ill find one.

also @STANLEY MAY-LOL! ...THAT IS SOME FOLKS MOTTOS ..i got burned so burn back!

@howard... that CASE 25CENT is fake..not refurbed... im working on getting a pic of the REAL tang stamp up..nota drawn picture but a pic of the real stamp. on the real 25cent knives the 25cent mark first off has a line going all the ay though it..no mattr how much he would have cleaned this knife that line through the 25c would not be broke in half. also on the real knives the 25cent is like this  25c  it literally looks like that ...they are BLOCK numbers not cursive like on the link... i will get the pic up ..i apologize for not doing so as i have another person waiting on it.

  • Howard P Reynolds

Thanks, Peter.  Like Craig, I never buy old knives for the same reason; fakes.  So, while I probably should know about the "¢" for my own knowledge base, avoiding the old knives saves me money because the old "real" knives are expensive to begin with, and the fakes make it too difficult unless you can examine the knife live.  Plus, in my opinion, what one gets for $300, $400, $500 + is inferior knife steel (compared to today's knives) with iron liners and bolsters, etc.  I am not disparaging the collecting of the early 1900s knives, it just isn't for me, even if I could be certain.  Now, if I could find a New York Knife Co. (Walden, NY) or a Northfield Knife Co. (Northfield, CT) at a garage sale I would buy it,

Unfortunately there are some great fakes out there. Even some of the experts have a hard time with them. It's sad, very sad people would make fakes. It's like people that make viruses for computers.
