    Craig, you mean this?

    Craig Henry

Yep, that's it Ken.....I need a good ole' Case Yeller Trapper.......and a Yeller Mini-Trapper........and a Yeller Tiny Trapper........when they make the Yeller Tiny Trapper for me.

  • Tobias Gibson

Thanks a lot Lee!  Most of my Case knives are just run of the mill regulars.  I thought they were pretty decent but now I'm worried they burst into flames at any minute!

  • Ken Spielvogel

Craig, here is the mini Trapper

  • Lee Smith

    Wife says I go overboard. I have a f350 4x4 with a v10
  • Max McGruder

Wow your wife knows a lot bout trucks.

Ken, that's the other one I need.

The only Mini-Trapper I have right now is the regular Amber bone. Not that there's an  irregular  Amber bone Mini-Trapper.

I used to carry a Case Mini-Trapper waaay back around 1980. In fact it was a 1980 10 dot. But I digress........

I need to get the yeller, Chestnut and Amber standard 54 Trapper, and a Yeller and Chestnut Mini-Trapper. For the regular everyday Trappers......as opposed to any special ones.......if you want to call the others special.

It's time to take my meds..........

  • Ken Spielvogel

I have 3 Case and 2 RR Mini trappers - they are a great knife to carry, a good in between knife, fits well in hand and pocket. You have a good passion for Case Trappers - that's a good aim in collecting.

  • Tobias Gibson

Yep, RR 804, is 2 inch Tiny Trapper in Yellow Comp.  Cost about $7.  It would make a nice place holder until Case gets its tiny trapper out of the vault!

RR1107 is a five blade peanut with a spay blade so it is kind of a "trapper nut" on steroids. (and a little goofy in my opinion!)

Well, it WAS Stockmans for a while, then I thought I was going to be headed towards Canoes, then I took a right turn and went to Trapperland! LOL!

    Craig,

So, when the government shuts down on 01 OCT, your mailbox might be empty on that third Wednesday for months to come, and fall is a bit late for a lemonade stand.

There's always UPS, FedEx, and Mule Train.

Nice ones Craig! If it's too cold for Lemonade you could always do Pumpkin Lattes!

Picked this up today at our local club show! Case 29 1/2 Smooth Black, should make a nice lil' EDC!

  • Ken Spielvogel

Max, that would make a super EDC, great score.

Craig, it must be your time of the month again. You are having fun.

    Craig Henry

Wow, that's a cool one Max!!  That's 2 1/2" closed like the Tiny Trapper, isn't it Max?

Yep, third Wednesday week! LOL! Cass got a bonus at work so I'll have a few extra coming in the next few weeks or so. Yay!

Time for the old Tadpole to come back!

  • Ken Spielvogel

IvarsDay, I agree with you, I haven't either, looking forward to hearing what our Case experts have to say about this knife.

  • Gerald Hines

I would have to say it's a phony. In that time period Case used pinned shields and I can't find anywhere that in that period they stamped pattern numbers on their knives. The 028 pattern is called a serpentine dogleg jack.

  • Tobias Gibson

    From AAPK,  Pattern 028:

Case has manufactured at least two distinct knives with this pattern number.

    * The company's most recent version is a 3 1/2" serpentine style jack knife. Most have a clip and pen blade, and a 1/2 after the pattern number (when there is a pattern number). Some versions have been produced with a punch blade.Case discontinued them sometime before 1964.

*The other 028 pattern is a teardrop style jack knife that was manufactured with a spear and clip blade. I'm not sure of the exact size, but they are considerably smaller than the other 028 pattern described above.
