They will stay very safe! I have plans for our Wiener Dog to stand guard over them!

Yes Paul, a little insanity can make the day go by faster.

    Hi guys,

Has anyone ever seen a custom like this?

Any idea on how much something like this is worth?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Paul

I haven't seen a Case Caribou Skinner for a long time. I don't think I've ever seen one with Abalone handles. Where did you get it from?

Okay, I don't know what to say. My Moon must be in some kind of special alignment. But what it really is, is that there are a lot of great people in knife collecting!

I was kidding on the Case forum on the RussLock thread, that I must be the only one that doesn't own a RussLock....like I've joked about here. Well I get a PM from John and he says give him my address, he will rectify the situation!! I was blown away.....AGAIN!  You could have knocked me down with a feather!

Knife collecting has some of the greatest, most generous people in the world! I feel humbled daily by the knife people I'm in contact with.

I actually inherited this from my father. Have no idea where he got it. It appears to be a custom. It says "customized by Jack Wood 1982" on the box. Anyone ever heard of him?

  • Howard P Reynolds

Paul, it is an interesting piece, and I don't remember seeing a Case skinner like this, but even though I am old, I haven't been collecting all that long.

"The Caribou Skinner was manufactured as standard product during 1982 - 1984 time period. There are not any records to indicate how many were made during that period. The suggested retail price was $80." - Shirley Boser - W.R. Case Historian

The Dermatologist had to remove a weird spot off of my chest (no Ron, it wasn't my head). I can't understand why she wouldn't use my Tiny Trapper. Those Doctors can be so fussy.
