The more I look at those Buffalo Horn Hunters the more I want one! LOL!

  • Ken Spielvogel

Yes, you really got me wanting one now also. LOL

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

Of course you could always get one of these. LOL!

  • Ken Spielvogel

I am really liking that Buffalo Horn. Right now I have a one track mind.

I love my Buffalo Horn Trapper......sooo, I KNOW I'd like the Buffalo Horn Hunter!

Though.....the more I look at this little Drop Point.......I might have to get one of these.

  • Paul Work

That's a nice one Craig, especially that stacked leather.

  • Billy Oneale

Craig, I finally decided a couple years ago to be a life member. I got tired of trying to remember when dues were supposed to be sent in. Besides I figured I would collect Case knives till they bury me.
  • Billy Oneale

Ken, when you go to SMKW, check out Condor knives. They have some really good inexpensive fixed blades, and most are carbon steel. They do also have some in stainless.
  • Max McGruder

I'm with Billy on that it's easier as a Life Member, it's a no brainer! I switched when it was still $100.00 for Life Member, shortly after I joined. Tried to tell a friend to swicth but he didn't think he'd live long enough to get his moneys worth, he's still here and going strong!

  • Ken Spielvogel

OK Billy, Condor knives, I'll check them out. Thanks.

  • Howard P Reynolds

    Craig,

Maybe you should do the math on Life Membership, that is, assuming you ain't no spring chicken.  As I recall, the break-even point was 10 years.  Ifin you figger you got 10 good years left, go for it.  Hahahaha

  • Howard P Reynolds

    Charles,

You are probably correct about having to buy your Member Knife.  The mind isn't what it used to be, and I got another Peanut for Life Membership which I thought they gave me, but I coulda paid for that one too.

    Charles Sample

Howard, I don't think my mind ever was what it used to be! LOL  But i did have to buy my member knife.  I don't know about the life member knife.  As far as I know it could come with life membership.

At 67 I have to wonder if life membership would pay for me.  If the break even point is ten years or so, that would put me near eighty.

  • Max McGruder

I do agree that the break even is bout 10 years but Life Memberalso opens up your buying capabilities with the Annual Club knives where you can buy any if the three offered, Life, Regular or Junior member or all three and if all three you can get your Life never number on them.
The thing I like most is I can buy any of the three offered.
  • Max McGruder

Sorry for sounding so stupid but my phone must have corrected what I was saying or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
  • Billy Oneale

I think I gave $150.00 for my lifetime membership.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

$20 a year for regular membership. 7 1/2 years. I think I can make it for 7 1/2 years. Though some days I don't feel like it. LOL! Life Member it is. Should I wait until my dues are due? April. Or should I become a Lifer early?

    Paul;

"That's a nice one Craig, especially that stacked leather."

You know, as much as I like Buffalo Horn.......I'm leaning towards the leather. Hmmm.......

  • Ken Spielvogel

Craig, one of each would be nice. I like them both to, but If I can only have one I think I will choose the Buffalo Horn.

  • Paul Work

I've been debating becoming a Lifer myself.   Hard to say what I'll do.

  • Max McGruder

Craig I wouldnt wait, I say do it now. Then you'll be a Lifer this year and....we can let you in on all the things we couldn't tell you and the handshake, we can show you the handshake before you even get the printed instructions from Case on how to do it!

I can tell you one secret though, don't tell anyone else though , just between me and you. Hold your right hand up and form an 'L' with your thumb and forefinger , now raise it up HIGH and rest it against your forehead, TADA!  The Life member salute!! ROTFL

Hey, my lips are sealed! I think I might go ahead and do it when I get my money next month. A Christmas present to myself. It's the least I can do since I was told they are sending me some free Case stickers! LOL!

  • Gerald Hines

Dangit Max You weren't suppose to tell.

  • Billy Oneale

     Ha Ha ha LOL

  • Howard P Reynolds

    Craig,

I just checked, they still have some 2013 Annual knives for sale, but it looks like the display case is sold out.  http://www.wrcase.com/collectors_club/club_store/club_store.php .  If you join now you can get one or all three knives.

It's tough to come up with the extra with Christmas so close. But I'll see how things go. Everyone in the family will understand if they don't get anything....right?

Hey Max, I was going to get an extra Case ceramic coffee mug.....southerntackle.com is sold out!  But I found them here - http://www.jaysknives.com/case_4.htm and here - http://www.lumber2.com/Case-9078-Coffee-Mug-p/ca9078.htm

  • Paul Work

I had one of those mugs but the wife broke it...She was always jealous of that mug...I would of glued it, but we were out of glue...She used up all the glue ON PURPOSE!...

  • Max McGruder

Craig, Thanks for the info! I was looking for a cup yesterday at work on my phone and did a Google search and up came the Lumber2 address but wasn't sure if it was the correct cup so had to wait til I got hom to check item # with my records, it's the one!

Thanks for the heads up Craig, if something needs finding! Jaysknives has the same Blue sign I have but don't know anything more bout it!, only met one other person that had one til now.

Paul buy two and give her one!

Every time my Case coffee mug gets washed I have this vision of it being dinged or broken. So I wanted a backup! My coffee tastes better in my Case Coffee mug.

  • Max McGruder

I haven't used mine cause of that Very Reason, Craig!

    Craig Henry

I think I'll keep the backup with my knife stuff!

  • Ken Spielvogel

I just ordered a Buffalo Horn 6" fixed blade last night. Can't wait to get it.

  • Max McGruder

That's what I'm talkin bout Ken! Can't wait to see that!
  • Ken Spielvogel

I'll put it on as soon as I get it. Should be Wed or Friday.

  • Max McGruder

That's what all the well dressed should be wearing! It'll be hard to take off!
  • Ken Spielvogel

Yes, but I meant I'll put it on this forum as well as myself.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

REALLY? A Case Buffalo Horn Hunter??? No fair! I don't want to see it.

Well, I ordered a backup Case coffee mug......so there.

  • Max McGruder

    You tell him Craig!
  • Ken Spielvogel

You wanna see it - who are you trying to kid. Its gonna be great. The only fancy belt knife I had (other than military) was stolen from me in Vietnam in a crowd. It wasn't military, I think it was a Puma if I remember right. My K-Bars are my best, but this Buffalo Horn will be a looker, and I am not going to just look at it, I am going to wear it and use it.

    Craig Henry

Oh, okay. I'll look at it......if I have to.

Well, so much for "real time stock" on lumber2.com. They're out of stock of the Case coffee mug. Oh well. On to the next dealer.......

Very nice, new knives, Craig.  But, to be truthful, I am glad I don't collect Trappers or Mini Trappers because there is so much to collect.  As you know, new jigging or bone color, etc. is not universal across all the patterns, but it seems that the Trapper is always included in whatever new scales are released.  Whereas, with my Canoes it is hit or miss.  Example, I wanted a Greek Key in the Canoe pattern - no luck - nor periwinkle, nor pinecone.  My wallet is happier, and I don't have to buy display cases as often.  Plus, the more limited production of Canoes frees up money to buy some Queens or Canal Streets or big ole fixed blades with fancy new steels.  Boy was I happy (sort of) when the Butterbean went into the vault!

    Thanks!

I'm not a "completest" so I just buy what I like. I don't have to have them all.

  • Howard P Reynolds

Hahahaha, Craig.  You may not think of yourself as a "completest", but it looks like you done bought ever Trapper they is.

    Craig Henry

LOL! Actually, believe it or not, I only have 24 Case Trappers! But there will be more to come! LOL!

  • Max McGruder

It's hard to believe that you've accumulated that many in such a short amount of time Craig!

  • Ken Spielvogel

That's why we call him "Trapper Craig"
