Thought I would show off a Christmas tree mini coke bottle that I found on ebay while I'm at it. Wish I had a camera that was good enough to show the inside of it. The liners and the inside of the mainspring also have file work.
I have a couple of pics from the celebration. Steve Wells getting pinned by Lisa Boser-Miller with his Ambassador Pin since he became a Case Ambassador at the Case Event in Norris,Tn.
Steve with the President and CEO of Case/Zippo Mr. Greg Booth
Lisa Sebenick, NKCA President and Editor and a Shepherd Hills person I didn't get her name. Lisa is the one with the great tan!
Cake a the Members only party Friday eve!
Adding his Life Member Number to a tattoo he already had that was done by a friend of his, don't have the finished pic as I was busy. but just what I drew on him.
Hi Folks - Can someone confirm for me that the Case nomenclature "Baby Butterbean" and "Butterbean" are 2 different names for the exact same 62132 (with bone scales) pattern? Thanks - Jon Salmon
I'll confirm it, Jon. Not that I have any official capacity on the matter, I do collect them. I've seen "Baby Canoe" as well. No matter what you call it, a 62132 is a bone handled "Butterbean", "Baby Butterbean" or "Baby Canoe". (X)2131 is a full-sized Canoe.
Saw this W.R. Case-Tony Bose Lockback Whittler in the Case Fall catalog today.
Five handles: Peach seed jigged Antique Bone (#7215), Chestnut Bone (#7216), Ebony Wood (#7217), Abalone (#7218) & Burnt Stag (#7219). 154CM steel and a steep price: About $450.00
Hi guys, i want to start my Knive Case collection, since i have read there is a lot of Case Knives to choose from, i think i will go for an specific pattern, i am interested mostly on big, single blade foldings, from a collector standpoint which one would you recommend.
Thanks Craig, i will check your recommendations, is that i just want to narrow the knives, i know Case has a lot to choose from, but it does not hurt to invest in something that will no longer be available. lol
Howard I have seen Tonys version of this one and it is sweet. I would think the Case version would be also but a bit pricy for me. I will tell you he says it is one of the hardest knives to make
Thanks Craig, and thank you all have been very helpfull, i purchased 2 case knives last nite, i will post some pictures as soon as they arrive, i can't wait. lol
OH my....I had not seen any info on those discontinued pattern...esp. when one of them is my favorite the 25 1/5.....Craig when did they announce this... Sue
Sue, I first saw the information on the Case Collectors Club Forum. Case brought out a set of knives of one each in Burnt Amber Bone.
"In recognition of the 125th Anniversary celebration this year, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is opening the Case® XX Vault for an incredible opportunity. Five patterns retired to the Vault are not currently scheduled for reintroduction. We are making the final production run Vault Entry knives available for sale."

Welcome to the wonderful world of Case knives Rhamer!
Case has a lot to pick from. You might want to go here - http://www.wrcase.com/index_en.php - and look around. There's a lot of information! And you might want to think about joining the Case Collectors Club and Forum - http://www.wrcase.com/collectors_club/join_the_club/
I'm not able to stick to one pattern.....as you can see in the Case discussion groups! LOL! So, it would be hard for me to recommend one! LOL!

Craig by "not be made" do you mean going in the vault or actually discontinued forever?
Oct 13, 2014
Tobias Gibson
Rhamer, it seems to me there are three folding knives that scream W. R. Case and sons:
1) The Russ-lock
2) The Seahorse Whittler
3) The Junior Scout.
When it comes to Fixed blades, nothing says Case like the Kodiak!
Are there other knives that are Case Icons? Sure but these are the ones that speak to me!

Rhamer Jimenez
Thanks Tobias, i checked those and the Russ-Lock is going to my short list.
