Tuna Valley Cutlery Company is an exclusive line of traditional knives geared towards the contemporary collector. They are only made in limited edition runs, and they are known for their superior specialty steels, and the most beautiful, natural handle materials.
I would like to take this time right now to thank each and everyone of you who joined in on Friday night in the support of me on Knives Live. I truly hated it that we could not get connected but were definitely having some technical difficulties. If the chance ever occurs again, hopefully we will be able to get connected. I was nervous but knowing you all were there for support truly helped. So thank you all again!
If you get the chance come visit me at the Blade Show in two weeks. Table 28 R.
Kudos, Courtney! You did great - and looked fantastic, too! That was a bummer that we couldn't get connected cuz you sure had a big support network here on iKC cheering for you - Hope you felt the vibe!
Had a chance to speak with Courtney today. She does have a swell center being introduced this weekend and I will have pics of that magnificent knife in the morning.
As for the next knife coming.......
Courtney says she knows what the pattern will be, but she wont even tell Ryan what it is yet LOL. She did promise to tell us first!
Here is what came home in the Tuna line...yes one will be a user for a review (he is kinda getting used to that I may have created a monster for myself LOL)
Nice catches, all have scales, all are delicious, all are worthy of seeking, and all are fun!! LOL. Faced with dilemmas such as these I find myself drawn to the Tuna. Pass the bait and oh by the way that super gnarly amber trapper also. :-) Best regards
Well this was the first...but it won't be the last that is for sure!!! Just love everything about the lock back...gives me that traditional style that I enjoy...nice healthy Stag...now I am going to hunt for a MOOSE!!!!
Moose hunting ? Did I hear someone say "Moose Hunting". I missed out on their Moose pattern, I had too many things going on, at the time of it's release. GEC has a planned knife production schedule, that might help here.
Hello Indian - Wow that is BEAUTIFUL !! May I inquire as to where you obtained that AWESOME sheath that the knife is laying on? I'd really like to know about the craftsman who made that !! Thanks - Jon Salmon
Just to let everyone Know ...about some of the leather work...such as sheaths. It is my Bro Dave Taylor who has done them. He is True Craftsman and if you want one...just let him know that Indian sent you...he can curse me later....lol
It's the dawning of a new era with Queen Cutlery and Tuna Cutlery under the guidance and leadership of the Daniels family! Thank you for investing your lives into the cutlery industry!
Paul
Wow, is right! Thank you Carl for sharing that picture of that knife. It's a beauty. And Paul, Thank you for those kind words of the Daniels Family in the knife industry.
You should be seeing the next Tuna Valley pattern right around the end of this month. Thank you again for all the followers and I hope to see as many of you who can make it up in Titusville for the Queen show in a few weeks.
Courtney, I would like to suggest you submit a Tuna Valley, pearl handled, baby doctor's knife pattern for the NKCA youth knife for 2014. I am a youth knife collector, and they have never had a doctor pattern, a pearl handle, or a Tuna Valley knife before. It would be awesome, and very unique. :)
Carl Bradshaw, that is a great suggestion. I had never thought about a club knife before. I am going to look into it. Thanks!
Next Tuna Valley pattern will be out by the end of August... it's been awhile since a new pattern has come out due to some machinery and over load at Queen. Also, the new Oiseau Metal Arts knife will be out by the end of the month as well. Was not planned this way just the way it ended up.
Yes, I have recently released the newest Ivory knife in the Sway Belly Trapper. Also, the large Coke Bottle in Burnt and Amber Stag. Check the web page at www.danielsfamilyknives.com.
I will be attending the Easton, PA show this coming weekend September 28th and 29th. I am looking forward to showing these new patterns off and hopefully see you there.
Pictures don't do them justice, I saw them in person this past weekend at the LeHigh Valley knife show. Very high quality, no one can match a Tuna Valley knife unless it is custom made.
