Hey Manville, you should make this group open to everyone so they don't need to wait for permission to get in...they were talking about making another group and ditching this one...Just a suggestion!
Hi Anthony, I've been carrying a Ladybug on and off for about 3 years now. I use it for all sorts of tasks. I'm in the IT field and use it to cut network cables all the time. The serations cut through the wire like butter. The main reason I carry the ladybug is because of it's size. It's very comfortable to keep in your pocket without gouging you. Also, it's not intimidating to the folks that don't understand knife people, although I've had people commented on how tough it looks for a small knife. Hope this helps.
Why the low activity on this site? I know there are alot of us out there. Looking forward to first of October as I should have a Manix 2 and a Native IV to check out as my very own, if all of the backorders are filled that is. I now have the Spyderco knife storage case. Holds all of my folders but no room for more, you know what that means... Anyway just trying to spark some interest here.
Just got back from the Gateway knife show here in St. Louis. I was able to make only one purchase and had it narrowed down to a Mcusta or a Spyderco. The Spyderco J.D. Smith got to go home with me. Bought if from Grand Prairie Knives from Troy, Illinois. Great people. Check out there website. gpknives.com $138.00. Ya baby. Will own a Mcusta someday.
My new user came today - that is, if I can stand to get it scratched. It is a plain stainless steel handle dragonfly. I really do want to cut something with it and try out that VG-10 steel, but the first scratch is going to hurt. Maybe the first step will be to stop polishing it with simichrome and actually put it in my pocket. I've pictured it with it's sister, the tatooed lady.
I was seeing if I could get a responce about it . I took it to the Blade show this year and everyone got exicited. Schempp did the damacus for the bolsters while I was there I got him to sign his card to go with it
Hey Spydie Addicts!!! As a new member and collector, I am interested to see what your favorites are and what problems you may have had with a specific model. I just received the Phoenix which I couldn't wait to get my hands on, hopefully it will be a collectors item one day.

Hi guys went today to my local knife and gun shop here in my home town and did find some Spyderco Pride knives I think 4 of them: USA, Canada, France, UK I know that they are a long time discontinued model and that the MSRP was I think 49,99 USD my question is what is today’s collector's value of this knife I did find just one on ebay with a fix price of 175 USD are they really so valuable ? Just for the compassion the dealer sells them for around 70 UDS I did the exchange from EURO (1,4). Thank you guys please share your opinions.
I just sent in my article to Knives Illustrated about the Spyderco Warrior. This is a very interesting weapon. Notice I did not say knife or tool. The Warrior is made for one reason....a weapon for direct contact.
I got customized after the previous owner managed to snip of from the tip averring else is unknown. The important thing is that it is one of a kind piece.
LOL! A DragonGnat! LOL! I love it. Save a good knife is what I say. I found a Benchmade Stryker auto in the market place is As Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. The blade tip had been broken off. When I returned home I sent this knife to Benchmade who fixed it up with a new blade. Good people.
I like to buy old knives (mainly Case) on ebay and clean them up and put them back to work. I like it Ratrik.
I think I have shown all the Spyderco's that I have. I sure do like them and all the pictures that are posted here. Anyone had any new knives lately? I would enjoy seeing pics posted.
Very nice my friend. I toured the spyderco factory in February of 2010 for the purpose of writing an article. Spyderco has a very modern factory with lasers and all. The employees were very nice and helpful with my questions. Spyderco has the best quality you could ever expect from a production line knife. Good people.
It is that level of commitment, hard/precise craftsmanship and quality combined with blades from Seki city there making spyderco knives a master piece every one of them from the ultra high end expensive ones to the ultra low budget byrd line and there for a large part of my collection is dedicated to spyderco knives a big thank you to Master Sall Glesser. I hope he will stay a long time here with us.
It is always a pleasure to share some nice pictures with fellow knife collectors and friend here. Hope that Delica Emerson opener will be soon in my hand then I will make more pictures with both of them.
After a week of use I can say it is absolutely nice small knife/money clip. It is nice slim profile looking for the FRN version with a liner lock because the SS is just very smooth and sometimes little bit problematic to open but aside of this it is has smoth opening nice solid frame lock . I don't like just one thing and that is the price there for I did buy this one used. Did some ceramic sticks magic and that blade configuration is just so efficient and razor sharp.
