Yes
How long have you collected knives?
21- 25 years
Favorite Kind of Knives
Whittlers, especially CASE "Seahorse",
and the Great Eastern "Gippetto" Whittlers.
I also like other utilitarian frames and whatever appeals to me at the time.
Two questions: What is a peach monkey and do you carve them? (that's only one of my questions)
And, what is the app you loaded "Emote"? I really haven't had time to go poking deep in the applications yet.
Cool peach pits. I noticed them, I thought on your hat in one of your pics.
On the map, yeah, I thought that was cool too. You see how many of us put our geo location, about 3%. Maybe once we are good and off the ground, we can strong arm folks into putting it on their page. You know our place is probably much more personal in terms of relating to each other than any other place I have seen online- in terms of knife places, anyway. Not everyone is comfortable with that.....yet :)
Yes I'm a Sharpfans member too. matt17saws
You got a nice home page here.I like your picture album too.I need to do take pictures of my favorite knifes . I sell on E-bay too, just to support the habit !! LOL I love that collection of Seahorse whittlers you got.
Thanks for the welcome. Looks like a nice place to hang out once I learn my way around. Did look at some of your pics earlier as I also like slip joints, old and new. I have about half a dozen Case knives, but for some reason I cannot and I mean literally, cannot sharpen them. Don't know what it is as they are the only ones I have trouble with. They're different models also. Strange. Toying with the idea of getting one of those "Chef's Pro" or something like that and give it a try. Boy, I'm getting wordy in my old age. Better stop for now. Thanks again for the welcome.

You are a good man..even if you serve road kill at your diner.
Hey, I'm off and on- best I can. Thanks for all your support. Tell Luck there may be a new mayor in town real soon :)
Thanks. I hope folks caught the part about a def elephant, it was ment to be funny, as in I am clumsy and loud at times. BUT I do like knives and going to Mingo.
Came across a handmade ROW3 large pocket knife. 12 cm folded and 9 cm straight point blade, brass bolsters, and stag sides and very nice. Either Rowe with backwards E or Row3. Only marks on knife are 1988 and Row3. I can find nothing. If you have seen one please tell me where.
It is not a Fred Rowe knife. Dates and style do not match. Not Col Nick Rowe or Kenny Rowe. I remember being told the guy was in his eighties when he made this quality knife in 1988. Somewhere there was a master knife maker that has been missed.
Hey J J
So I am working on a video for iKC and I was wondering if I could use your pictures of the old timer peanut? As a photographer I would never use it with out asking. Also wondering if Luke the drifter would like to be in it?
Thanks
Ally
Thanks for taking the interest J.J. The mods are not major, more to do with the shaping of the large blade to allow for 'scooping' and the mid sized blade is rounded of along the back of the blade. I plan to show it and my first effort when I can find time and some good natural light :) probably not for about two weeks unless the excitement of it all gets the better of me. We have our District Convention of Synod and Pastor's Conference coming up with loads of prep to be made. Cheers, and yiC, Greg.
